Guessing it's related to Turner, so we should have an answer by this evening. Would be absolutely shocked if he returned, and he'd be foolish not to leave, but there's always hope.

He'd be absolutely crazy not to leave. Especially with the CBA up in the NBA. I'm just glad he's doing it the right way and not hurting our grad rate.

I believe he's got to be going--as stated numerous times before, his stock will never be higher...selfishly I'd love for him to stay, but it wouldn't make any sense, no matter how you look at it.

The article linked in the other thread only says that a "source" says he is going pro and that's what the press conference today is announcing. Still, that he's announcing that he's going pro is the only logical thing to expect...regardless of whether an anonymous source reports that or not.

I actually think that would be hilarious and I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen it from a big name (or anyone that I am aware of). I could definitely see someone posting on their Facebook or tweeting that they are going pro and then at the press conference just say "April Fools" and then walk away. Now that I think about it, it would be even more funny if they said they were coming back via Twitter and then announce at PC they were leaving. Imagine the rage of Kentucky fans if John Wall pulled something like that last Thursday :)

yes he has. this conference is just to make it official. its all over the radio waves today. 1470 in Toledo has already confirmed that Turner has already announced as well.

Why do media spoils these moments? I'm pretty sure we expected this, but when they leak out sources, that tarnishes the excitement of the press conference. Like what's the point of listening to it now?

I just dislike the lack of professionalism, considering that most times, those "sources" are anonymous. I get the impression of the writer(s) sitting at their desk and hearing that OSU has a press conference scheduled. They know that Turner is likely to go pro, so they correlate the two and come up with a brief story saying that a source who may not actually exist says he's announcing because they know they'll be right the vast majority of the time.

I can't find the press conference online or tv anywhere. I guess I just have to watch the highlights of it on the news later on.
