In other news, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals have invited Clarrett to training camp, trying to improve the image of their current players.

He sounds like he's really turned himself around. I hope he can become a functional member of society. It'd be a hell of a story if he were able to come back to football. Even if he sucked, it'd be a great story.

I'm all for him getting released early if the judge feels like he won't harm anyone.

A bigger worry might be who is going to harm him. Lots of rumors that he owes the wrong people $$$.

Is it impolite to ask for an autograph while he is bagging my groceries at the supermarket?

Haha, no.

I got his autograph when he was shopping in Champs in Boardman one day. After his OSU days. The funny thing about it was, I recognized him but I wasn't going to ask--I'm not much of a signature guy. But he offered to sign the shirt I had just bought. LOL, I let him, it was only 5 bucks anyways so I just bought another clean one.

Maurice will be back on the southside of Y-town like he was before his arrest. Stop by the liquor store on South Ave. for his autograph.

If can serve half of his time and stay clean, I don't see a problem letting him out on parole.

If I see him, I'll thank him for winning us a National Championship and tell him good luck with his life. Why all the hate? The guy was young and dumb and made some choices that lead him to prision. He has served his time and deserves another shot. I wish him nothing but the best and him stripping Sean Taylor is still one of the GOAT plays.

The thing about Maurice is he has to hope of a football playing career. There are not many other options for him out there. Unlike a lot of former Buckeyes who do not make it int he NFL, he will not be welcomed back into Columbus to work at Buckeye Nissan, Germaine Ford, Channel 10 or on 1460 The Fan.

Agreed, not too many freshman produce like he did. I'm convinced he would have left with at least one Heisman had he stuck around.

haha because he didnt know prison was "whack" until he got there. or atleast that is the way he made it sound during some stay in some interview about prison life.

Look like they granted him "freedom" into a prison dormitory for 4-6 months.
