Utah did it I think and saved a ton of money.
I'd be all for adopting it. My company does 9/80 schedules in many of the main offices.

Huge problem with state and federal govts is that wages and pensions have been growing much faster than average to the point where many positions are now among the most lucrative in their field. Combine that with the huge expansion in the number of govt employees and you have a ginormous financial burden the tax base cannot support.
