Their top players including Hayward, Mack, Howard, Nored etc all come back.

You cannot doubt their ability to shut down teams as this was the highest points scored on them during the entire tournament at 61.

Guys like Hayward will only continue to get better.

How far do you think Butler will make it next season? They will be ranked in the Top 10 going into next season and will dominate their conference ending in a higher seed than #5. That will make it an easier road for them imo.

They will be a top 5 team if Hayward returns. I would bet that they don't match the tournament run they had this year.Their defense is great, but they are offensively challenged and go long stretches without scoring a field goal.

Absolutely. Although it will be a case of being "hunted" rather than being the "hunter."

It will be different for them from now on but if they remember what got them there....there's no reason they can't make another run.

They are relatively young...but I doubt they'll make it to that stage again. The #1's were weak this year. It was a year of mid-majors pulling upsets.

This.

Kind of like Gonzaga, but more.

That is the truth. The other question is:When does Brad Stevens leave for Oregon? This guy is no fluke. His preparation is as good as any coach in the country. He should strike while the iron is hot and go for the big money.

They will be the new Gonzaga.A team everyone got behind because no one ever heard of them and they make a suprising run. They will win their conference next year and possibly go unbeaten but the expectations will be too high for them and will get bounced early.

But luckily this is college basketball and not college football. Every year a no name team comes out of no where and wins alot of fans over.

If coach sticks around, Butler will be back. If he decides to jet out of town, Butler will be nothing more than a mid-major again.

If Stevens stays they could make a Final Four run. Defense is what you need to make a deep run, and they will play great defense. If the guys coming back can improve offensively even marginally they will be good enough to make it back.

If you've never heard of butler then I'm sorry but your not even a causal basketball fan.. butler is nothing like what gonzaga was. Butler maybe a "mid-major" but they have a lot of history. It would be awesome to see butler keep this up.

I read somewhere that Butler has never sent a player to the NBA. Is this true?? They do have a storied history, but that history revolves around the coaches that used Butler as a stepping stone job.
