The eight days from April 3-11 are the best of the year. You have the Men's and Women's Final Fours, the Frozen Four, Opening Day baseball, the next to last week of the NBA regular season, the final week of the NHL regular season, and it concludes with the Masters. Add in the beginning of college football spring practice and the ramp up to the NFL draft and practically every sport has something major going on this week. It simply doesn't get any better!

No single sporting event can make one weekend the best of the year. What makes this so great is that there are so many major sporting events happing in a very short period of time.

If you're going to mention golf in the opening post, gotta let someone add NASCAR.

Or take them both out.

^ That is soooooooooo far from the truth. The Masters one of the greatest sporting events of the year.

Krambman, I agree with your initial post!

Agreed. If it were just some random golf tournament going on this weekend I wouldn't have mentioned it. It get's added because it's a major. The point is that all of these things are big events in their sports: National Championships, Majors, opening of a season, closing of a season. One random NASCAR race does not warrant mention with the rest.

Disagree. Nothing compares with opening weekend of college football and the week leading into the OSU-UM game.

Ok, again, those weeks are great for one particular sport and fans of that sports. However, for people who are sports fans, meaning all sports, not just one, you simply can't beat this week.
