I have a proposal that I think would do a decent job to eliminate much of the asshattery in the sports forum that seems to happen.

A new rule called "Play Nice". Enforce it strictly because frankly the sports forum isn't even worth visiting anymore. I'm not saying we have to answer everyone with "That's a fine idea good sir! But here are some things that I disagree with that I believe you should consider..." but every thread seems to end in a bitch fit between posters that are fans of an opposing team or don't like the particular player/coach.

It would be nice to be able to trust people to have intelligent discussions about different teams...sadly, because of a select few, it will never happen.

Sadly it is just a few posters who behave like that. I avoid even clicking on certain threads because I know it is going to be nothing but junior high type bullshit.
