...didn't live up to expectations

...offers to give back money paid to him

...Al Davis says no

That's not the interesting part to me. The thing that is intriguing to me is that he disclosed this in an interview with TheFootballGirl.com. Never knew there was such a website!

Some team taking a flyer on Walker w/ the league minimum salary could be getting a decent deal. He was studly in Green Bay.

I'm sure Denver wouldn't mind having him back.

Crazy story. If it's true, that's admirable.

I wish the hooker I banged last night was willing to do the same. She definitely didn't live up to the expectations.

If he was serious about giving the money back...why not donate it to charity instead?

I imagine you will see the union step in here.
They dont like things such as this as it can set precedents and such. If he feels like he wnats to do this..donate it to charity.

There is a reason why you dont see some athletes take unbelieveable hometown discounts at times. The union wants to keep the salaries in escalation because if athlete X takes way less money.....then another club will try to get athlete Y to do so.

You see this ALOT in the draft and for rookies.......an athlete may be totall OK with the money being offered...but the players union wants the salaries basically slotted so it doesnt drive down the $$$. If it was up to the athletes coming out of the draft.....you would see the salaries alot smaller I believe.

Bobby Knight has done this on I think more than one occassion. He has given up his salary at TT becuase he felt he didnt do a good enough job. There was some provision tho that he had to accept some sort of pay....for insurance or whatever purposes..I dont remember...but at least once he didnt accept payment and TT kept hte money.

LOL @ And besides, if everyone the Raiders have ever overpaid offered to give the money back, Al Davis himself would immediately become the world's biggest economy, and our entire financial system would be thrown into chaos.
