No desire to get one what so ever. I really don't get the appeal of these things.....I would rather just get an Iphone and buy the kindle app.

I have no need for an over-sized iTouch so I won't be getting one.

I'll probably get one after the next generation comes out depending on the features they add.

The iTouch doesn't exist.

The iPod Touch does, however.

It is dumb unless you want a good e-reader for books. In which case you are better off with a Kindle or Sony Reader.

I didn't vote because I would never purchase this generation iPad. Since it runs the same OS as the iPod Touch just scaled up for a bigger screen I think this is the most over-hyped product in recent memory. If they come out with one a little cheaper running a real OS, then I might consider it. Right now it's way over priced, has a comically small hard drive, and is nothing more than an iPod with a big screen.

The best use I can see would be watching movies and reading while on a trip. Early reviewer said the batter life was 11+ hours while constantly playing movies. My laptop can't pull that off, and my ipod is way to small to watch movies on. It will be interesting to see if this thing sells at all, because I am a bit doubtful.

Preorders are through the roof and lines formed as early as Wednesday at Apple Stores.

Whether it's worthy or not, it'll sell.. Just because Apple made it.

I love my Macbook and iPod Touch, but I don't think I'd even consider buying this generations iPad... Maybe future ones.

PC Mag just reviewed it though, and gave it 4.5/5.. So it's getting high praise as well.

I would consider buying it if it supported Flash.

^^ yeah. Buying now would be naive. Like the first gen Ipods, there will be growing pains for these things, until they get the kinks all worked out. I can see the appeal of this in the political world; it would be nice to have one device to read all documents and papers on.

iPad is going to have/or already does have? a Netflix app which allows you to stream as you would from your 360 or PS3... http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-31747_7-20001697-243.html

Very nice. Still doesn't entice me to buy one, but with all the different apps I'm seeing I could be interested in a 2nd generation model.

Also, Apple was rumored to sell 700,000 thousand iPad's on day 1.
