After a lot of introspection I am coming clean. There has been a lot happening in the political world of late and sometimes you have to step back from the fray and examine your priorities. Maybe being always on one side of the many domestic issues is probably not the smartest way to go. Both sides sometimes make good points but, at the end of the day, what matters most is how people are treated and what opportunities they have, as opposed to what the party line is or even where the constitution might say you need to be. I am seemingly getting too old and life is rather fleeting in the grand scheme, so I think I will just move back toward the left and try and help the little guy get ahead, even if it means somewhat higher taxes, a little more domestic spending, and a little less military spending.

When you take the picture as a whole, it is easier to see how the republicans have lately maybe put this country on a bad course, and maybe the only way to save it is by doing what President Obama wants …… I now think he sees things we don’t, and we have to trust him because he is doing his level best.

So, believe it or not, I am un-officially switching gears and moving from red to blue, and I hope many other conservatives will also consider the good that can from a complete re-appraisal of the situation. It is never too late to make the right decisions. So there you have it, and I hope everyone finds a way to understand where I am coming from.

I hope you all enjoy your spring, and happy april first as well.

Quaker, if it had been anyone but you, I'd have fallen for it. But very funny nonetheless.
