Most schools were due to take advantage of two points this weekend...

Just wondering if people who just missed a tournament and now have two points available want to try to hook up a dual, or even a 2x4 here.

A good number of teams are open... Just wondering.

2x4's are better than tri's or duals in my opinion.

Cruiser.....why wait for next year for the 2nd annual Cruiser Open? You still have everything in place and it all should still be fresh in your mind. Maybe no great awards, but who cares in this special situation?

I can see it now...2nd Monthly Cruiser Open!!:)

BTW....The word is Watkins Memorial may be trying to reschedule something for next Friday. Marion-Franklin is out....others probably too....some of you may be able to catch on there?? Don't know...just an idea.

dad4sports: You read my mind. We are looking to host an 8team tournament on Saturday the 13th. I just have to check with the AD to make it so.

So far we have 2 or 3 teams that are interested.

I'll keep people posted.

ps: The Mac Sims Invitational.

Delaware Hayes is still hosting their Rieman Invitational tomorrow (Saturday Feb. 6) and some teams have dropped out...so we have openings. We're looking to have 12 teams (each kid gets 5 matches). If you were in a tournament that got cancelled, can still travel, and are interested in filling one of the openings, call tournament director Tony Rieman at (614)448-7035.

Teams still in the tournament as of 5pm tonight:
Bloom Carroll
Big Walnut
Delaware Hayes
DeSales
Cincinnati Elder
Kenton Ridge
Massillon Perry
Marion Harding
Olentangy
Westerville North

Not only one email...but 7!!! We currently have 7 teams that are interested, but because of foresight (well done, gents) 2 teams have given me the directive that they would like in but because a likely double-dip storm, Saturday might become a league make-up day. And that is fine.

I think inviting 8 or 9 teams would be wise given the timing of the tournament. We just ran a 12-man bracket with 14 teams and only two weight classes had more than 12. I think this might work. Here's hoping my AD is willing...I mean after all, we have run a pre-season, 2 JV, a freshmen, a varsity and a youth tournament this year! All of which he has to be present for.

Keep a look out for an return email tomorrow, coaches.

Any updates? The "double-dip" storm should be out of here by Thursday, so that should remove the possibility of Sat make-up dates for those schools.....
