The banner ad that popped up at the top of this thread is for a trans gender dating site.
The most ironic quote from the article is how the he/she claims to have been dehumanized after an arrest and forced to show its genitalia to prove its gender. Isn't being a TV already dehumanizing? How low can it go?

Based on the article, it sounds like to me that someone just want to get paid. I could be wrong though.

Was she/he forced to show her genitalia at the police station?
We had an "it" that was arrested for sleeping in a guys car one day. I was doing an internship at the Sheriff's office the morning she/he was brought in. They had to have female CO's check her out to make sure we had the correct gender labeled in her booking information.
The she/he was a guy who turned into a chick. A clear 5 o'clock shadow and everything. She had like $700 dollars in cash on her (doing tricks).

Yes. After a previous arrest in New York.

Well then it wasn't dehumanizing, the officer's need to know the true gender for the person's files.
The comments may have been uncalled for (if there were negative comments) but checking to find the correct gender is needed.
