I'm talking about right now, not career accomplishments.

These are my top 5 and no Kobe is not apart of that.

1. Lebron James
2. Dwayne Wade <--- LOL
3. Kevin Durant
4. Carmelo Anthony
5. Dwight Howard

Thoughts?

For sure. He is playing with a hurt (not broken) finger that has hindered his play some.

1) LeBron

2) Kobe
3) Melo
4) Durant
5) Wade

Well, If your list was right it would be interesting.

1. Kobe Bryant
2. Lebron James
3. Dwayne Wade
4. Carmelo Anthony
5. Dwight Howard

That looks about right.

I would agree not top 5 right now, but wait until late April through June. That's Kobe time.

All that coming from a Kobe hater, but he does pick it up at play-off time.

Wade at #2?

1)LeBron
2)Kobe/Carmelo
4)Dwight/Wade

Durant's not top 5 yet... close but not yet.

Also I beleive Brandon Roy is close to breaking into the top 5.

I'll agree that Kobe might not be top 5 with his finger hurt.... but I wasn't taking that into consideration in my list, I was going off when healthy.

But Kobe is most definitely a volume scorer right now, which is not a good thing.

So if Lebron gets a stomach cramp before his next game, we can make a list saying he's is not "currently in the top 5"?

Maybe Dwayne Wade has a fight with his girlfriend and is shooting poorly in the 1st half ... we can post at half time "Wade currently isn't in the top 5"?

Oh Dwight Howard had a headache this morning and isn't playing well.. at the present moment he wouldnt be "top 5"

When Kobe gets a broken finger "he currently isn't top 5"

Clowns.

Those 3 things you mentioned are all temporary... the finger issue is going to continue to linger since he isn't resting it. It's fair to say he isn't top 5 in the league while playing with the booboo on his finger. So if he plays the majority of time hurt... why is it not fair to grade how is a player when he has that injury.

He had an injured finger last year on his shooting hand and was able to still do this:

80% Kobe at age 32= 100% Lebron at age 25
100% Kobe > the field

its already been proven and you can take that to the bank..........

Yes. His career trajectory has started to plateau a little bit, but it is still higher than everyone's but LeBron

That picture doesn't prove anything. I can find that exact same picture of Chauncey Billups. Or Tony Parker. How come they aren't in the conversation for best player in the game?

I agree that Lebron and Kobe are #1/#2 and then there is a fairly large dropoff.
