Hurts the Cavs quite a bit, and I can kind of understand what the injury is like. I'm left handed as well and hurt my left ring finger playin ball a while ago. Thought for sure it was broke and so did every doctor I saw. Thankfully it wasn't but it still isn't the same as it used to be. Can't even make a fist and this happened at least two months ago. Hopefully Delonte takes the right measures to get it healed properly.

Guys will just have to step up until the others return. I fully expect them to. Now is the time that they'll really be thankful they brought in Parker and Moon for added depth.

Well thankfully Moon is coming back on Monday.

Wine and Gold thinks that West will only miss a game or two, basically until the swelling goes down. His shooting and ball handling will be a wait and see obviously but his defense won't be affected.

I expect Cleveland to explore picking up a PG. Gibson cannot be trusted to be the main PG especially since his defense isn't that great either.

If it's just a fracture and doesn't require surgery or anything, he should be fine in a week. I broke my thumb in college and sat out practice for 3 days, played with a wrapped thumb on Thursday and was fine by Saturday.

Not that I had the same injury, but it might not be too serious.

West should only miss one or two games. It's not listed as a serious injury and after Saturdays game he'll only be listed as day-to-day...

I think Danny Green will be getting some run now..

Cleveland is expected to sign Erie Bayhawk and former CSU guard Cedric Jackson to a 10 day contract. He has averaged 14.7 ppg and 7.6 asg this season.

Looks like Cleveland will try to just ride it out and not worry about making a big move short term.

Which is the right thing to do. No need to panic and waste a roster spot when we have a possible trade to pull off.

Cleveland needs to trade for a backup PG IMO. They are going to be without Mo for a while, and let's face it Delonte isn't a "true" PG, and to make matters worse he just got hurt too. You're looking at Boobie Gibson who hasn't been playing much at all in the past few weeks becoming the starter. Not good. Get a true backup PG, just somebody serviceable.

Let's see what Cedric Jackson can do. He's going to be signed tomorrow from our D-League affiliate Erie Bayhawks.

He's 6'3'' and is known as a good defender and capable scorer. We'll see what he can do.

I don't want to trade for anybody and get another guaranteed contract on our team when we have a possible trade to make for a much bigger need...

Besides, who are we going to trade for a backup PG who won;t get much PT??

Idk, I'm not Danny Ferry, just my $.02. 6-8 weeks is a long time. And then who knows how long West will be out...

West is only out a couple of games, per Brian Windhorst.

We can bite the bullet. Besides, the All Star break will be part of Mo's injury, so he won't be missing too many games.

I don't see much reason to panic. Mo is a big loss because it is two months... but right now, there is enough to carry the team and everyone on the court is going to continue to get open looks because of LeBron. Let this guy play out his 10-day contract and see where Delonte is and go from there.
