I thought he'd retire at the end of this season anyway, his family was very worried after the concussion and he's always seemed to be a family oriented guy. I think that block this weekend cemented his family's vote that he hang it up.
Hall of Famer, no doubt. Great career for a guy who literally was unknown 12 years ago.

After seeing the replay of the hit....I'm guessing yes......but never question the wiring of an elite athlete.....especially one who bagged groceries.
I know what his wife wnats him to do.

Wish he could've gone out with a SB win over the Squeelers. That would've been a fitting end to a true underdog story.

He can still play the game at a high level. Ultimately the money is tough to walk away from, but point taken on the concussion risk. He also doesn't seem to be one to care about being in the spotlight (ala Favre). I'd guess he'll probably hang it up. Wouldn't mind seeing him come back for one more year, though.

I'm sure he is fine money wise but he does have 1 more year left on his contract fot like 12 mil.
This may play a factor in the decision.
This guy truely is a good story and a class act.

I think he comes back for one more year. Arizona finally has a running game to take pressure off Warner/WR's which will decrease the hits he takes.

he'd be leaving 10-11 mill on the table if he walks away
