Just asking.

That makes no fucking sense.....

Trump's national security nominees are largely following traditional R and typical hawkish/ realist national security policy. (So things inside the beltway generally)
That is the exact opposite of everything Trump has stated during his campaign.

I didn't vote for Mr. Trump. If he took this approach in his campaign he may have got my vote.

Trump could really screw with all the religious wingnuts if, when at his inauguration, he places his hand on the bible and let's out a scream "IT BURNS!!!!!"

Or more subtly, hover his hand just slightly above the bible without ever touching it. It would cause EPIC meltdowns.

So far here in DC from all the people concerned about the crazy trump supporters coming in to wreck shit up, I have only seen wacko liberals out and about. When I say wacko liberals, I am not speaking of the mainly reasonable liberals that post on here. My GF and I walked by Trump hotel a few weeks ago and there was this one dude by himself with a protest sign. It turns out just yesterday he set himself on fire (he is alive and well) as an act of protest :RpS_lol:. That will show the Trump administration.

In addition to what I just said above, my guess is the crazy trump supporters are not in DC yet. I am going to steer clear from the shit show. I wonder how they will mesh with the wacko liberals. Nobody is talking about this but the Bikers for Trump will be returning to the capitol this weekend and it is just going to add to the shit show.

I will say this; shit is going to go down here. This city is 99% liberal and does not want anything to do with Trump or his supporters. I can only imagine what will happen when someone walks into a bar wearing those MAGA red hats...

Most liberals here are pussies. They most likely won't do anything. I have seen a few MAGA bros the last few months at particular bars and the only thing that happens is people get butt hurt. No different than the reaction I saw when people wore Romney gear back in 2012. Edit: The where was some dude driving last night with a big trump trailer behind him blaring born in the usa (ironically this is a protest song derp). http://www.popville.com/2017/01/god-help-us-dc/

If shit goes down it will be from the paid inciters and protesters, not Trump supporters. If you don't believe me; check out all the news stories from 4 and 8 years ago about the riots in DC. I went to W's first inauguration and got see the limo speed by us because some assholes started throwing eggs at the limo a few blocks before they got to us. The party that preached a smooth transition of power is working behind the scenes to make this a shit show. But what else would we expect? They are the same party trying to de-legitimize a man before his first day in office.

Agreed. My boss asked if we wanted to take the day off, I said nah, I'm good and will work offsite in NOVA, near Dulles, far away from the shit show.

Wouldn't shock me. Nothing will shock me this weekend wherever it comes from. Honestly, the main reason i want to stay away form everything, because this even it a huge target for an attack of any type. Not even worth it. All of you all know I am not the biggest Obama fan, but I tried going to his inauguration 4 years ago. By that time I was hungover and the congestion in the city made it too much of a pain in the ass, so I said fuck it.

I would love to be that guy. I am sure the liberals would run to the manager asking for a safe space and request I be denied service.

GM to lay of 2,000 workers on Jan 20th right after Trump is sworn in. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come from Trump but I'm afraid it might be.

Change we can believe in.
That was announced months ago. But I'm sure you already knew that. Pretty sure it was announced right before or after the election. Lordstown and surrounding areas (Trumbull county) are f'd if they ever close completely.

Previously announced .........Lordstown makes the Cruze, but Mexico makes the more popular hatchback. And given the shifts to pickups and SUV's it will take a while for either a rebalancing of inventory, or a retooling of the plant.

Trump has done nothing to stop it.

We have elected the enemy.

His role is to get government off our ass and out of our lives; once that happens all markets will flourish, real purchasing power will increase, and our lives shall be enhanced .....even yours. Watch and learn.

God bless.

Wonder what Trump will think of this. If the DOJ is going after ya, they usually have a rock solid case.
I will be interested to see the details on this. If there is legitimate discrimination, they should be sued. With that being said, this part of the article brought the lulz:

"The lawsuit comes as Silicon Valley faces growing pressure to increase diversity across the tech industry, which is dominated by white and Asian men. In recent years, major technology companies have begun to make public commitments to hire more women and minorities but progress has been slow."

Uhhhh ya think?

When you look at graduation rates from universities with Computer Science/Stats/etc... degrees it's pretty easy to see why. That's more of a STEM education issue than an employer one. However like you said, if it's legit discrimination then they should be sued.

Doesn't matter. Women are >50% of the population and if they aren't the same distribution in an industry than its sexism.

You don't even have to look at the statistics to see what women are studying. I remember walking thru the engineering building a couple times to meet up with a friend when I was going to school. I probably saw a total of 3 women and they were all asian.
