This was expected. Zorn has been completely underwhelming at HC.
I didn't read the link but I read the other day that there was a deal in place just waiting for Shanny to sign worth around $50 million or so.

he got off to a good start last year starting 6-2, then it just went down hil from there and never recovered.

no surprise. Zorn looked lost at times during his tenure. I don't think he'll be getting many calls.

Zorn had been fired the day they took the play calling away from him. I actually felt sorry for him on the sidelines with no power and no hole big enough to crawl into and hide. I think to a degree, we have all been there in some form or another. Our advantage was that our moments of infamy weren't shown before several million people on National Television.
