A big congratulations to Coach of the Year Steve Pennington from Whitehall.
Coach Pennington's approach to training is simple, wrestle. The best way for wrestlers to improve is more wrestling. Whitehall starts open mats in April. Through out the summer many college wrestlers come there to wrestle as well as wrestlers from the central Ohio area.

Coach Pennington is also staffed by top notch, dedicated coaches such as Coach Jake who I don't ever think has not missed an open mat.

Off season the coaches and wrestlers also participate in Open Tournaments including the Ohio State fair.


Coaches and wrestlers can learn a lot from this coach.

I remember when Whitehall was a member of the occ capital. Then went to city for a short time. Why did they leave anyway?

Yes. The more wrestlers the more better!
