What no love for Licking Valley hosting Meadowbrook,New lex,n Sheridan Wednesday for a chances to go to state.haha just giving u guys some crap always look forward to your broadcast.

Ha! We deserve everything you dish out!!!

I wish we had a clearer picture for D-II & D-III. We've said it before...it's so tough to give an accurate description of those two divisions based on the fact that we just don't/can't know about the other schools who are joined with those two levels.

But, you should know, we do wish the Panthers the best in its upcoming matches. At this point in the season, it's time to #PickUpThePace!!!

I know the glut at Newark is not great for Olib, but you could argue it is worse for a team like Coffman. They have a very solid line up, but few standouts in the district with exception of Demas. They could get a few kids tripped up that may have otherwise gotten out in another sectional.

We have stated similar about Coffman. Regardless of sectional, they could possibly have 9 or 10 DQs. Very few teams can say that. In a dual meet format, they are solid throughout the line up. However, at Darby, they could end up with a gang of 1-2 records.

Kind of reminds me of a stretch of Teays Valley teams from a few years back.

I could be wrong. And for their sakes, I hope I am wrong!

Thanks for posting some individual matches. Always fun catching some other kids' action.

Loved Morefield's suplex. Would have been a 5 pointer in Greco or Freestyle. Unfortunately for him it was Folkstyle, so it was a -1 pointer....

Dust E.: After a few cocahes and wrestlers saw that Lipscomb was okay, I saw a few 5s go across the gym. I confirmed the 5.

Great point. Glad Lipscomb was OK. Especially when dealing with 285's. Could have been dangerous. Obviously would not have been 'jest' worthy had anyone been hurt.

Wow...1 top 10 team...and 4 out of the top 23?

Why didn't any other top teams head to UA??

Does seem very odd.

My one thought is that it may be a function of schools with top guys seeking splits with other top guys in the Central District.

By my count, this Sectional (UA) is extremely light on "Top Guys". If you use the InsideTheCircle rankings, I can only find 2 guys (Ford from WK and Hinz from WN) ranked in in the top 2 of their respective weight class. That means 2 out of the top 28 kids (7%) will be found at this sectional. If you extend it to top 3 per weight class (42 kids overall), it only increases to 4 total kids (Ford, Hinz, Jones from TW, and Hoof from TW). That's 10% of the "Top Kids" being at UA, when 25% would be there if it were just randomly assigned.

One theory. Maybe I'm way off.
