Eligibility: Eligibility standards will be based on prior year’s accomplishments.
1. OH-WAY Novice Championships are open to Ohio residents ONLY.
2. 4 years experience or less.
3. No OAC state qualification (not including the current year)
4. No OYWA state qualification (not including the current year)
5. Cannot have placed top 6 at OH-WAY State, unless
8-man bracket or less (not including the current year)
6. This form must be signed by the Athlete, Parent and Coach certifying the wrestler’s eligibility. (If the parent is the coach then the parent must sign as the coach also.)

Provide opportunity for Novice Wrestlers keeping their interest which helps grow the sport while supporting college wrestling.

This is the 2nd year for The OH-WAY Novice Championships.

OH-WAY supports all levels of wrestling. OH-WAY is excited about continuing The OH-WAY Novice Championships. Same large venue at Tiffin University as the OH-WAY State tournament.

This provides Novice wrestlers that are eligible an opportunity to experience a Championship level tournament that they may not otherwise be able to participate. Creating opportunities and helping to keep interest is a way to help grow the sport and keep wrestlers interested into the next level.

This tournament is not a fundraiser. The purpose of The OH-WAY Novice Championships solely to provide an opportunity for Ohio Novice wrestlers.
