Anyone have any results from Saturday?
Once again the Columbus Disgrace has slighted the central Ohio wrestling community.
They did print a 2 inch token blurb however about one tournament and a few duels.
The Disgrace will provide a two page spread covering a ping pong tournament in Paintsville but very little concerning high school and even Ohio State wrestling.

In al fairness, that Ping Pong tournament was national event and was going to pit three of the nation's four top pong-ers against each other. Not to mention the unveiling of the latest and greatest paddle, complete with graphite handle, flex-curve ergo-dynamic thumb grips and composite paddle head. All that to say, that tournament was kind of a big deal.

But yeah, the Dishrag. Pretty par for the course.

Any Granville results? Usually quite a few D2 & 3 central ohio teams (Amanda C.C, Highland, Utica etc.).

Because I was the district, tri-state, and overall regional champion back in 2002. I was on my way to stardom and fame, working on an Olympic run for 2004 and then it happened. I was going for a direct hit on a cross-table backhand and *POP* my elbow gave out.

I have relived that moment in my head numerous time. Sometimes I question whether my penhold style was the problem. One can only wonder. My opponent hit heavy; I swung on the late; the return was loose. He finished me there, and I never fully recovered. So many variables in play. Again, one can only wonder.

That was when I got back into the sport of wrestling. The heartache of my dreams being cut short was too much. I needed to get back to my roots - into the sport of wrestling - and give back.
