Looks like he is starting to get guys in the proper weight classes....although there is sure to still be lots of movement....

A couple of corrections/thoughts.

-Derek Neimiester (ranked at D3 160 for Westfall) actually wrestles for Columbus West. He has numerous nice wins this year (including Blaine from Kilbourne by 5-6 points) and may warrant a ranking in D1. Columbus West also has 189 pounder Jason Russell who is 21-0 on the year with wins over Drumm and Beatty.

Other guys I was impressed with:
-Pickett (Westfall) looked outstanding at West Jefferson, majoring a tough Grove City kid who beat Blackwell.
-Both Nelsons from Tuslaw are extremely tough and deserve rankings.
-Allerding from Loudenville (215) is an animal and will be a high state placer at 215 if he stays healthy. Loudenville 189 is also very tough.

For D1 130, How can Seiple-Coffman be ranked when he has yet to wrestle a match?

Other guys I was impressed with:
-Pickett (Westfall) looked outstanding at West Jefferson, majoring a tough Grove City kid who beat Blackwell.

-Allerding from Loudenville (215) is an animal and will be a high state placer at 215 if he stays healthy. Loudenville 189 is also very tough.

Entertaining and well done thanks Bucksman for all the time you put into this . I have a couple Team and individual disagreements but these are your rankings and you have your own perspective from where you sit. I think the podium in Columbus will be a little different but then again your rankiings serve as a motivational and entertainment tool to us wrestling fans and wrestlers. I can't wait to see the wrestlers sort all this out in March, it should be a good one. FYI Zane Nelson will probably be at 140 for Firestone and sectionals.

I think Alex Bergman will make some noise for Oak Harbor in D-II 130.

What I want to know is.....how is Mark Meyer from Graham, wrestling 215 when just two years ago, he was a 135 lbr?????? He was 5th in the state in 2008. I'd have to move him up at least on the podeum!

I also favor Ian Miller at 140 but they will wrestle that out too!

Man, dangle a hook with a big ol' juicy worm and ya know you will get a bite.

I like Armstrong and respect Miller, but I am a homer. IMO- Miller can "catch" Tucker and get big points, similar to what happened to Jordan at Ironman. Miller catches Martinez, Felipe won't care. Felipe has an amazing ability to "keep his shoulders rolling" or only expose his back for a second. Plus, I take Felipe's arsenal of offensive moves over both Armstrong and Miller. I think Tucker has the better chance against Felipe, just because of the history...

Just givin' my opinion....no doubt about it, it's one of the most fun weight classes in the state.

Alex Bergman beats Angelo Amanta last night who was ranked 9th in d1.

What was the score?

the score i believe was 6-3. From what i hear there was a controversial take down and reversal call. Thats all hear say because i was not at the match.

I was at the match and I didn't see anything too overly horrible about the call and the folks I was sitting next too did not see anything overly questionable about the call either. The Clay coaches and players however felt differently with clay wrestlers yelling at the ref's saying " Thats the worst call i've ever seen" and a clay fan getting ejected and taken out under police escort after telling the ref off.

I thought it was an ok call but obviously from the stand's I may have been missing the right view?
