Had Romo and Marshall going last night. Marshall was on his way to a nice night before he broke his ribs and got his lungs and spleen damaged. As Kurtis Blow would say, "That's the breaks."
Don't have Williams. Someone had seniority on the waiver wire when Rashad went down earlier in the season.

I did get Herron this past week. May have to start him.

Went 1-1 in my playoff games.

Scored 196 points (2 flex and IDP- average week is 165) and got beat. I had Bell, Romo, Charles Johnson and Mike Evans but the guy I played got huge games from Newton, Brady, CJ Anderson, Calvin and the Minnesota defense. My top 2 picks, Jimmy Graham and Brandon Marshall...were the goats once again.

My one league I'm projected 175 wwhile he is projected 91. Championship is next for that league.

Other two leagues...

I'm up 40 with Rodgers left to play. He has lacy and toddy.

Im up 45 with Matt Bryant left to play. He has Julio and Steven Jackson.

Both those leagues are two weeks combined score so not really over yet

Thanks to Peyton Manning's sudden gun-shyness, I will be 1-2 in the first round of the playoffs, despite being favored in both.

Every time I played Peyton in any league this year...he was tossing 3 and 4 yard TD passes left and right. The guy I played yesterday had CJ Anderson and Peyton decided to be a team player and give him a career day.

Won my first playoff game by 24 even with a 15 point home field disadvantage for being the lower seed.

Playoffs haven't started in my other league but I did win big. Even with scoring only 13 total points from the WR2, TE, FLEX, K, and DEF I put up 125 and won by over 40 points. Wilson, Bell, and Green carried my ass. I also benched CJ Anderson at the last second to start Josh Gordon in my FLEX spot. Derp.

Wait in the playoffs... the lower seed starts out with -15 points? That might be the dumbest fantasy thing I've ever heard.

Why wouldn't the 7 seed start out with a disadvantage vs the 2 seed?

I've never heard of that. Crazy. I don't like it. 15 points a lot...no matter what the format. The 2 seed has an advantage, his team is better.

How many teams are in the league and how many make the playoffs? You were a 7 so I am assuming at least 8 made it. In all of my leagues, there are 12 teams and the top 2 get a bye and 6 make it.

So I guess that is a bigger advantage for a 2 seed than getting spotted 15 points vs the 7. Now, does the 4 seed get 15 points over the 5?

Why should he? I mean the highest seed in the NFL doesn't start out with an advantage over a lower seeed.

I mean what does the #1 seed get 20 points over the 8 seed? #3 get 10 points over the 6 seed? #4 get 5 points over the 5 seed?

I guess it's an interesting way to reward someone for doing well in the regular season I just find it extremely dumb.

Higher seeds in the NFL play at home though so there's the advantage, it's just not on the scoreboard(directly anyway).

15 points is insane, but I think it's reasonable that if teams from the bottom half of the league make it the top 2 teams should have some sort of advantage for having a better regular season. In every league I'm in the 7th place team is out anyway. I am interested to know how it works for the other top 4 teams though. Maybe 20-15-10-5? That is a crazy high amount though.

Why not give top 2 teams a bye. There's your advantage. You basically "win" the first round

8 team league and every team makes the playoffs. It was just implemented this year because the last two years the same guy won the league as a #7 and then #8 seed. We faced each other in the finals last year as the #7 and #8 seeds. I think this was a way to let everyone still make the playoffs (small league) but actually give the top 4 teams an advantage.

It's 15 across the board for the top 4. There is also no money involved in this league so it doesn't really matter.

So basically your league wants the best teams in the regular season to win the playoffs?

I suppose it wants the best teams in the regular season to have an advantage in the playoffs. Like I said, it's not a money league so it really doesn't matter.

Excluding teams from the playoffs accomplishes the same thing
