Early thoughts on the inevitable blow out loss to Ohio State? I'm think 52-3 final score if Urban puts in the 2nd stringers at halftime.

I almost felt bad for hoke in that presser today. He seems like a good dude. Hasn't coached well and deserves to be fired, but he looks awful. He looks beat up and tired.

ESPN bias on the SEC is ridiculous. Lmao why would they have bias towards a conference which has it's main contract with CBS? The SEC Network is like ESPNU 2 and isn't nearly on the same level as getting some of these big games, so can we quit with it already. There is no conspiracy, the Big Ten's best teams are 8 Michigan State, 15 Ohio State, 21 Nebraska and Wisconsin. The SEC's top four are 2 Auburn 3 Ole Miss and Mississippi State 7 Alabama. So it's four best teams currently are ranked higher than any B1G school, and it doesn't help our cause that Wisconsin blew it to what looks like a middle of the road LSU team.

The level of football in that conference happening right now is just impressive, its quantity is unmatched by any other conference. I think the problem is with other media personnel though that have much more extreme views of the college landscape. Detroit Free Press writer Drew Sharp should honestly be fired for this poll he submitted this week, clearly agenda filled

Hopefully this 4 team playoff is incredibly short lived. Is there any sort of a contract that states the number of years it is 4 teams, or can it be changed as early as next year?

Not a chance in hell they would even consider changing after this year.

I have no idea regarding details/contract, but I'm guessing the current format will last at least 5 years.

I definitely do not wish the playoff gets expanded. The whole season is pretty much one, do we really need another 3 weeks of football to crown a champ?

You do have a point, to a point!
The playoff is needed solely because the landscape of college football is so widespread. I know people get tired of hearing about the SEC but 1 loss in that league can be more impressive than undefeated in a number of others.
The BCS started it out on the right path. As much BS as the BCS took, it at least gave us a 1 vs 2. Looking back in this BCS era and bowl tie ins how many times would we have actually seen that happen? Some of you younger peeps dont remember the old days when 1 and 2 rarely met in the bowls.

What people bitched about sometimes is chosing between the one loss teams for taht second team in the NC game. Well, that problem is about to get worse with 4 spots to fill instead of 2.

I think it ultimately will lead teams to scheduling down in the NC games. If you are from the big ten or any of the other BCS conferences if you go undefeated you are in the playoffs even if you have a number of cream puffs to start the seasons.

4 teams is a solid start. I think 8 is a bit much. A 6 would be a stretch with the top two teams getting a bye.

And the sport is literally all about coaching. Just look at MSU, Dantonio goes there and turns it into a national power after being an afterthought for most of the last 20 years

Recruiting, developing talent and keeping them ON the field is all part of coaching too. X's and O's, schemes and style matter, but the great ones can take even an average job and put those first things in place.

Not a gay slur. It's an internet meme for a terrible poster. Hence the different spelling with a ph instead of an f.

How is that different from the "thugger" thing that one user posts in every single message? Serious question that I'd like an answer to.
ts1227;1660895 wrote:Gay slurs have always been tolerated less than other things here, because people were throwing them around left and right a couple of years back, and it was decided to ask people to stop.

You're not the first person to be asked to stop (S&L was asked to by Justin earlier this year I believe), you won't be the last.

Changing the spelling doesn't make it not a slur either :RpS_mellow:
SportsAndLady;1660901 wrote:The forum doesn't really have an official stance on anything lately. Justin doesn't really care anymore.

Ts randomly modding your comment came out of nowhere.
Posting gay slurs which are purposely misspelled normally make it clear it isn't meant to be used as a hate word = ban from ts,because he wants to bring back the glory years of his BF c4f and make up arbitrary rules. He most likely does not like you as a poster, because you are mean on the internet and he can't take ball busting :(.

Get permabanned from this forum for posting personal info, except the same person comes back to use his brother's account and it is blatantly obvious it is the same person. That same person is still trying his hardest to reveal personal info in an inconspicuous way even though it is still obvious and mostly incorrect = Nothing, because certain mods are butt hurt at certain posters over a vote that was taken place a year ago. A vote that over 60 posters I believe participated in LOL.

Note: I am not a fan of gay slurs, but its pretty obvious what the misspelling means. I have seen almost everyone on this site post "ghey," numerous times, and that includes Justin.
