Root hard for your 4-12 Browns team next year and all of their Barkevious Mingos.

The only direct reference to basketball players was in my post in 797 where I posted "Sign a stud basketball player, preferably 6-9/6/10 who isn't quite good enough to make the NBA ala Gronkowski to post up in the red zone.. (Darius Thomas, Gates anyone?)."

In parentheses I lisyed the hoops players. "Ala Gronkowslki" refernces the size.
You just quoted yourself bringing up players who weren't quite good enough to make the NBA ala Gronkowski. So yeah, you said Gronk was a basketball player.
"Deon" Lewis was a lot better in college than Matt Forte is in the NFL? Brilliant insight.
Darius Thomas still isn't a former basketball player turned NFL red zone target. He doesn't exist in the NFL.
Antonio Gates is 6'4, not 6'9-10.

You literally might know less about sports than anybody on the planet. And I'm including Classyposter in that comment.

No I didn't. That's how you interpreted it. And I never mentioned Gates' size. You gonna bitch...get it right. The point is simple. Get an NBA D leaguer and pay him 10 times what he is making and post him up in the red zone. If you can't understand that, well then that's your fucking problem.

5.3 average

52 times he caught the ball for 405 yards.

5 TD's

5250 yards from scrimmage
44 TD's.

How did you prove this? All you did was cite that Manziel will potentially be drafted higher than them, as if that has any relevance. How can you propose one player is better than another when he hasn't taken a single NFL snap while the other two are playing in the NFC championship today. I see you conveniently neglected to address how Tom Brady was drafted near the end. If Manziel ends up falling to 4th, then he's not as a good as Ryan Leaf who was drafted 2nd, right?

This. Cleveland obviously is one of the worse NFL cities, specifically speaking weather in this case and a weak armed QB won't work in NEO.

I think this pertains more to the Texans than it does to the Browns. I'm sure people will buy individual game tix to see him initially, but I'm not so sure he's one to entice people to buy season tickets-at least not right away.

His arm strength isn't poor, it just isn't elite. A lot of QB's don't have elite arm strength. Accuracy is more important.

Prime example of that is manning this year. He statistically had his best season ever this year, and his arm strength isn't even close to being as strong as it used to be. Hell, he is probably in the bottom half of the NFL in terms of arm strength. As you said, I wouldn't consider Manziels arm strength weak. He doesn't have a canon like Rodgers, but he also doesn't have a potato arm like McCoy.

Also Manziel is still pretty damn young. He can definitely improve his arm strength.

I'm a little confused how it can be proven that Manziel is clearly better than RW or CK. As for drafting a 7'5 TE to improve their offensive red zone.....their defensive red zone is what killed them.

Well, if we draft a 7'5 safety we can improve our red zone defense too.

Browns defense was a very good 9th in yards allowed.....but the problem...

This is the points allowed in 2013, not many schleps in the top 12

But go ahead and root for the Browns in picking another Mingo with a top first rounder. LOL. The fans on this board are just as inept as the management over the past 14 years.

LOL you want to use college stats to compare NFL careers? Is this a fucking joke? So by your theory Ryan Leaf is going to be a better QB than Tom Brady. Go suck on some bricks you dumbass.

Don't know too much about him but he must of had a good interview to get a second one. I think I really want Quinn as the head coach. I love his defensive philosophy and the players seem to love him and his intensity

Browns also want a 2nd interview with Quinn. I think Quinn will be our next coach, and if he is, I am happy with that hire over every other hire other than the Zimmer hire.

You look at all the bad weather NFL teams who've made the playoffs lately and none of them have a small scrambling so-so strength armed qb.
