The fact that Haslam drafted Manziel (don't kid yourself, he made the call) was simply to replenish his wallet knowing he had to write a big check for the Flying J scandal. Right now, he's getting all of the hoopla (although he seems to have stayed off Instagram/out of the media for 2 weekends in a row) while Hoyer is just keeping his head down and going at this competition in workmanlike fashion.
Manziel, as the starter, would be good for the national attention but I couldn't care which one of them starts as long as they win.
