Im aware you guys arent the national media, but many of you complaining about the article written wouldnt of said a word had it been written about another city winning 3/4 years and writers not liking it. Or according to some of you it just wouldnt be written because the media seems to have a vendetta against Cleveland apparently. But oh well, I'm done with it

And Cleveland won the lottery (even though they were favored to if i remember correctly) to draft the best player since MJ and possibly all time. They just didnt capitalize on it and build a championship team around him. Its not like Cleveland has never got a break before.

Again, Chicago won't he lottery for the Bulls, and nobody bitched. Not to mention most of the misfortune Cleveland has gone through for 60+ years. If the Celtcis won 3/4 lotteries I would bitch about the flawed system, not QQ that the celtics don't deserve the pick. Bitch about the lottery system, not the cavs. I have never been a fan of the lottery system. Just because the Cavs had the #1 pick last year and had a huge whiff (although it wasn't hard with how shitty the class was), doesn't mean they should feel sorry for being lucky. QQ about the system, not the team. As I said earlier, Cleveland is a small market team, and it just doesn't fit anyone's agenda. They all can go fuck themselves.

Edit: Also, I never saw the national media bitch about how wade/lebron/bosh all colluded to form a team. I never saw the national media bitch about how dwight howard and carmelo QQ'd their way into their own situations. Just STFU with the Cleveland bashing. Sorry we are not sorry this story line doesn't fit your agenda. I am sure ESPN would have been FAPPING if the Lakers or Celtics won the lottery.

I know on here a lot of people really hammer Spo last year in the Indiana series and said he got out coached (rightfully so) by Vogel. But this series Vogel is getting worked big time by Spo. The heats halftime adjustments the last two games have killed Indiana and both games Vogel never really ever adjusted.

Regardless, I think Pop will out work Spo in the finals.

I don't think Spo does much coaching at all. Honestly 99% of Spo's coaching is probably managing substitutions and egos.

Of course it helps having 2 veteran superstar caliber ball handlers who can set the offense up and dictate what the plan is

Serious? He is a huge part of why they are successful, he has figured out how to make two guys who are ball dominant play well off of eachother, that in itself is huge. He is also killing Vogel with match ups and adjustments. Easy to say that a coach doesn't do much when he has talent, did Phil Jackson not coach?

Don't waste your time. Hopefully he doesn't really believe that nonsense. Coaching is a crucial component to every level of basketball except like girls middle school. I think Spo was in over his head a little initially, but he's seemed to have figured things out since.

I dont think what hes doing is extraordinary at all, sure hes done a good job. But aside from a few of the bottom tier coaches in the league...how many wouldnt have success with Lebron Wade and Bosh? Honestly?

I think Bron and Wade after they got familiar with each other after that first year made it work. Theyre 2 high IQ players and were gonna smooth it out it just took a little getting used to. I really dont think Spo had some brilliant gameplan that made that come to fruition.

I couldn't disagree more, we are talking about coaching at the highest level of basketball, not pee wee ball. He runs a ton of sets that put them in position to be successful and also has made them into the best defensive team in the league when they want to be. You're not seeing the value of coaching and preparation.

Every single coach in the NBA does that.(maybe not as good defensively) Every. single. one. Just not every coach happens to have a stacked team to work with as Spo does. He's no more impressive in what he does than any of the other good coaches in the league. his roster however is

First you said he doesn't do much coaching at all, now it's that he's no more impressive than any other good coach in the league, which is it? If it's so easy to manage players and put them in position to succeed then why can't Scott Brooks do it after how many years with OKC? You're just correlating having a wealth of talent with not having to coach it, coaching is an extremely important and vital aspect of the game. I'm not sure why you can't see that.

Scott Brooks doesnt have the same type of talent that Spo has in Miami and you're more than aware of this. He has an amazing scoring superstar, not one who can be a floor general and run his offense. And not nearly the role players that Spo has to work with. What hes(Spo)doing is not thattt impressive, he has a once in a lifetime player surrounded by amazing role players. Lebron has the ability to make mediocre coaches look good, I mean look what he did with Mike Brown for christ sake

The big 3 plus allen are really good players. Miamis next best player is probably Norris cole. They're giving minutes to guys who's careers were basically over. I don't think spo is a great coach, because with a guy like LeBron, he can win games with cap on his team...but spo has made some great halftime adjustments this series.

Miami's roster is old, OKC has a bunch of young guys in there primes and is better than Miami's imo. Miami doesn't have young guys like Jeremy Lamb, Reggie Jackson or Perry Jones III. You're just trying to downplay his coaching ability for no reason. OKC's roster is more than good enough to win a title. If you swapped Lebron and KD I guarantee OKC would win a title. It's on the coach to develop a system where his players thrive and can succeed, that is all coaching. Spoelstra has done this on both ends and should be commended for it. Was Phil Jackson not a great coach because of the talent he coached?

Just because theyre young doesnt mean theyre worth anything,Id say Miami has better role players. Jones hardly plays, but I agree Jackson can be a useful role player.

If you swapped KD for Lebron you think the reason theyd win is because of coaching? You're making my point for me, that Lebron is the reason that Spo looks good.

I'll give you Jackson, but what the hell have Jones and Lamb done this playoffs, let alone season?

Obviously Lebron makes people better, but look at Miami from their first year together until now and tell me there hasn't been tremendous growth as a team and a coaching perspective. The first year they really didn't know how to play together, Spoelstra helped them figure it out on both ends. OKC's roster is better, no doubt in my mind from top to bottom. You speak of coaching like this is aau and anyone can do it, this is basketball at the highest level. I don't think you realize how much preparation and adjustments goes into it game in game out.

Lamb played tremendously while Westbrook was out earlier this year. Would you rather have him or someone like James Jones who is strictly a three point shooter and nothing else?
