Yeah, I updated multiple threads with that info in the last couple minutes. That pretty much ends the Steelers chances. If the Pats win....the Bengals are locked into the #4 seed so they'll probably sit their starters. If the Texans beat the Pats.....the Steelers are already screwed so this game doesn't matter for the Steelers if that happens. Oh well, it was a disappointing season.

It is just that flex schedule thing where they can pick who goes primetime.

Yeah, if NE wins, the Bengals have no reason to play.

If NE loses, that means the Texans won. So the Steelers are screwed either way.

Only hope is for the backup QB for the Bengals to play great.

the Jets don't score a lot of points

so the Bengals might still be able to squeak out a low scoring game with their second string

The Bengals have got to tank that game regardless. I know they swept the Steelers, but if you were the Bengals, who would you rather play(possibly) in the playoffs.....Steelers or Jets?

BINGO!

I think the Pats will beat the Texans but now we've got to root for the Raiders to beat the Ravens. Remember that one year that the underdog Cardinals upset the Vikings and knocked them out of the playoffs on a Nate Poole TD catch at the end of the game? Yeah, that's the kind of desperation mode that we're in now with the Raiders-Ravens game.

I wouldn't count the Raiders out....look at who their wins have come against.

Beat the steelers twice already, I think the coaching staff would probably prefer the advantage of knowledge of opponent in Pittsburgh.

If you ask any Cincinnatian they want Pittsburgh to be scouting for the 2010 draft in two weeks. Not fear, just wanting Pittsburgh to taste some sour grapes.

You have all dismissed this. Baltimore losing @ Oakland? Stranger things have happened! That and a Pitt win puts them in too.

Hahaha! I was getting ready to comment that on this and other threads, a lot of us have brought up the Oakland-Baltimore possibility.

The Raiders have a shot at beating the Ravens but I don't give them much of one unless Gradkowski comes back.

They may not need the win, but they haven't played well in a month. They need to play.

Finally a prime time game. Hope they rest the key players like Carson and Chad and Cedric in the 2nd half.

let's say

Pittsburgh beats Miami
New England beats Houston
Baltimore beats Oakland
Denver beats Kansas City

the Bengals would have the option of losing and playing the Jets again or winning and playing Baltimore

which would they prefer?
