Yeah. His coach said he's a 3.7 student, I think. And he had to have worked crazy-hard to get to the top of the podium, considering that Ishmael had handled him fairly easily both the previous two years at state. I remember it was a 12-2 major last year, so to make up that difference and win is very impressive.

I understand Beck was MVP of the football team also. That is very impressive. His teammates on the gridiron now doubt appreciate his leadership and commitment.

Multi-sport guy and great student. THAT is impressive!

I think winning a state title in wrestling while also being excelling in another sport is truly admirable.

A lot of guys quit other sports to focus on one sport (heck, some even quit mid-season :rolleyes.

Beck is a throw-back to a better time. Northmor should be proud!
