Just wanted to make a thread for results & other input.

My notes;

Saw Valenti get put on his back twice in the 1st rd (looked stuck at a point to me, then again, different angles tell different stories!)
I had to leave early, but, I saw that Penzone beat Rahmani...WOW. I would really appreciate a recap of that match!
Lastly, the hospitality room didnt disappoint, as usual. For that matter, the whole tournament is so well ran, really appreciate it!

5 point move by Penzone in the 1st, which really set the tone for the match.

The thing I didn't like was the wrestlers that had to drop out cause of skin issues were checked by a Orthopedic Doctor. I thought that was more for a bone specialist. If the number one item they check at weigh- ins is your skin, then why not have a Dermatologist specialist instead of Orthopedic. The wrestler had two Primary Care notes and a Dermatologist clearance. But yet his dreams was shattered by a Orthopedic Doctor.

The Rahmani vs. Penzone match was dynamite! I had it picked Rahmani to win but boy did Penzone prove me wrong by majoring Rahmani! Very physical match! Both guys got after it.

Considering the bye in the first round of 132, I'd say Sepeda -- unless there was another reason he was out. I don't know the details of course but I hate to hear stories of kids getting bumped from competition for stuff that happens off the mat. Hopefully he keeps his chin and spirits up and bounces back.

Good win for Deluse. I'm a Lancia fan so didn't see that coming.

It didn't last long, but seeing the bigger Mcdougle on his back was a surprise!

I know Black's good, but I really thought Pollitt was going to meet Ryan in the semis.

The LLaneza/DiBenedetto match did not disappoint!!

Very physical match. Was stopped twice for injury time (Rahmani shoulder). I thought Penzone just looked too strong for him. Coaches on both sides were pretty animated.

Coaches were animated cause the ref was out of position to prevent a potentially dangerous situation twice. He was so far from the action that you couldn't tell which was the head ref and which was the assistant. Then he called the exact same potentially dangerous situation as an illegal move. Got to respect the heck out of the Rahmani for being such a gamer and continuing to wrestle.
Great match. We might get to see the rematch today.

What's even more dumb, is that the officials didn't have the alternates weigh in with the qualifiers, thus depriving a kid at a shot out in place of the kids who scratched for skin. No reason to have a bye at districts.

Isn't that on the kid to show up and weigh in.

Marysville -132. Ya and they didn't have a alternate to take his place. The kid got a buy.

Coaches asked repeatedly during the initial weigh-in at 2 PM and were told...repeatedly...that everyone cleared and that the weight classes were closed. So, being good little coaches, we told our kids that their seasons were over and to go enjoy food. Spring club starts in a months. You had a great career. Etc.

But wait! Instead, they make an announcement AN HOUR LATER THAT THE ALTERNATES NEED TO WEIGH IN! Should they have assumed that they were being tricked the first time and waited all day to weigh in?

How hard is it to weigh them in with the group, just in case?
