"Ohio Wrestlers Give Back"

Zach Gibson from Bloom Carroll High School has registered "Ohio Wrestlers Give Back" with the Mid-Ohio Food Bank to help feed the hungry. He has set up donation boxes at the following schools: Bloom Carroll, Amanda Clearcreek, Lancaster, and Fairfield Union for drop off donations and has personally requested the help from these wrestling teams to help with encouraging fellow students to donate. These boxes will be in place thru the month of February. If others would like to participate in this effort, please make donations directly to the Mid Ohio Food Bank under "Ohio Wrestlers Give Back". The ultimate goal is to impact the lives of as many people in need all because Ohio wrestlers know what it means to go above and beyond to achieve a goal. Unable to set up box at Lancaster was told have to get a permit first. The link at top of thread will take you to

Awesome idea, that is the truly cool thing about wrestling! Just keep the box away from the guys really cutting weight!

Agreed, met his mom a week ago at our ohio capitals club open mats. He and his brother are there almost every week. Good kids!!

What a good kid Zack is, hopefully the community steps up and helps out. I will be looking for the box @ Amanda tonight...This is a call out to Amanda, Circeville & Fairfield Union fans, Please bring and extra buck or 2 to throw in the box tonight at our Tri.

We need to support these types of things, as well as Zack who felt it in his heart to give back to the community.

Appreciate it bigdawg! Actually if folks would just bring canned food items etc that would be great. Like to keep all money donations directed to the link at top of thread. By the way if anyone notices the Boxes getting full let us know please so we can empty them. Hope that happens multiple times this month. Boxes are up front by the OFFICES as far as we know.

I have friends who are involved with the BC schools. I will be giving them a box of canned goods.

Way to go Ohio Wrestlers! From what I hear, the boxes are filling up. Zach and I will be heading out to the schools this Tuesday to empty boxes that are already full. Feel free to fill them up again and again. We have also recieved $100 in donations sent directly to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank (see link above). Keep the donations coming and spreading the word so we can all help the folks in need-

Final week for the food drive. I know many are busy with State but any contributions you can do will be great. Thank you for your support and help. Best wishes to all wrestlers at State see you there Thursday.
