Licking Valley's Justin Winland Beat Granville's Christian Price 12-7. This was a huge upset as Winland was the underdog. Were there any others out there?

A minor upset. Price is good but i think a lot of his wins are due to his unorthodox style and the advantage he presses with his lanky tall build. i don't mean to take anything away from price by saying that, but my point is winland has probably wrestled him a few times now and has started to figure out what works against these qualities. For perspective, i'm pretty sure winland beat watkins banks at the licking county tournament and judging from the score (something like 10-2??) banks handled price rather easily in the west jeff final.

This was the first time Winland wrestled Price as his younger brother Wade wrestled Price at the Licking County tournament and got wrecked. And if I can recall Banks beat Winland pretty easily at county for 5th and 6th place. But all in all it was an exciting match as Justin was down 7-1 and used a late escape in the second followed by two 5 point moves to win the match 12-7. Good Win Justin!

thanks for the clarification. my mistake. maybe lakewood beat bankes at county? anyway, yes, good win for winland here.

Yes Jacks from Lakewood actually upset Banks as Banks pinned the number 1 seed kid from Newark Catholic and was looking at a possible 1st or 2nd place finish. Banks is a stud though
