Spring Wrestling

Since everyone is focused on sectionals, districts and soon to be states - I will throw in a distractor, spring wrestling. I heard a local club will be hosting Nikko Triggas for a number of Mondays to train on his specialty -------- Greco Roman wrestling. The will also have Tommy Rowlands in to do his specialty -------- freestyle wrestling. I realize they are not popular in central Ohio, but if you look at the parts of the state where they are (and the history of the podium), you cannot dispute the statistics that they make better wrestlers. I think I see Coach U at most every GR/FS tournament in the region. I am just sayin'

Another club to watch for being started up this spring is Rock Solid Wrestling. It will be in the Hilliard area and will host nights of action on Tuesday, Thursday, and numerous sessions Sundays with specific times for lights, mids, and heavys! Should have some more info and Brochures ready soon.

Vengeance Wrestling Club runs in Delaware and Sunbury on Tuesday and Thursday nights and will start on March 19th. Great club with lots of great clinicians.

There will be Vengeance Wrestling Club fliers out at the sectionals and district tournament.

Also, Delaware Hayes is hosting the AAU Junior Olympic Central Ohio Qualifier (freestyle) for Team Ohio on May 4th. Fliers for that will be out at the end-of-year tournaments as well.

Finally, Vengeance WC hosts a spring freestyle dual tournament at Hayes in mid April (probably Saturday April 13th or 20th). Coaches, email Coach Heffernan to reserve your spot: [email protected]
