That's because the BCS says you can't take margin of victory into consideration, which is stupid. If you can't consider it, it'll drastically affect the credibility of the models. That's why Sagarin, Massey, and the rest run a second set of "real" ratings that are more accurate.

People also complain about the Coach's Poll and the AP Poll.

Let's not act like the "human element" is even close to perfect.

I can't wait to hear the complaining when the selection committee snubs a team that's deserving of the 4th spot in the playoffs. It's going to be awesome.

Polls are shit and it dont matter human or computer. Until they have a playoff like every other sport in the world there will always be bitching.
