Jamarcus Russell, Blaine Gabbert, Mark Sanchez, Pat White (all Lombardi favorites)....keep dreaming.

If Lombardi's QB 'assessments' stay true to form, Weeden should end up a Hall of Famer.

Sounds more & more like Horton will be the defensive coordinator.

With Chud, Norv & Horton as coaches, I kinda like the way the coaching staff is coming along. Unfortunately, they are probably going to have to shine a lot of "turds" with Lombardi/Banner involved in the player selection process.

Just change the "n" in "not" to a "g" to make it "Want the Lombardi Trophy, got Michael Lombardi"? Or something that seems a bit less depressing from going through the reactions here and the fact that one of my FB friends, who is probably the biggest Browns fan I know, posted that he's still going to tailgate, but he's not renewing his season tics, after this hire.

ESPN officially reporting Horton to the Browns now.
Don't ever read a story by Jamison Hensley. He's a Ravens fan and shits on every decision the Browns have ever made.

I love the Horton hire. If we can get Shula as our qb coach I really really like our coaching staff. As for front office people Lombardi is the worst it gets. Can't stand the dude

Shula sticking with Carolina, he was promoted to OC. Maybe Hue Jackson for QB coach?

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags 1. Joe Banner is as respected and upstanding a man there is in this business. He hit a HOMERUN in all major hires made thus far.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
2. Chud/Norv Turner/Scott Turner/Ray Horton? You kidding? 32 of 32 NFL owners would be absolutely THRILLED with those additions. HOMERUNS.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
3. Mike Lombardi is an A+ hire.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
Jimmy Haslam CLEANED UP this off-season. Be happy, Browns fans. Be excited. Seriously. CELEBRATE. This was a tremendous start to off-season.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
If you asked me to pick any available OC and DC, I'm telling you Norv Turner and Ray Horton. Not much else you can ask for.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
And don't let one grizzled beat writer sway your opinions on this staff and front office. The Browns have stunk forever. Change is good.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
And if that beat writer had as much influence as he thinks, they wouldn't have hired Lombardi. Well, they did.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
Mike Holmgren didn't LIVE in Cleveland. Tom Heckert traded UP to draft a running back. This was an org headed SOUTH. Cheer up. Seriously.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
I hate to sound so pro-Browns, but the incredible doom and gloom around the Chud, Norv, and Lombardi hires are beyond illogical.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
Mike Holmgren didn't live in Cleveland. Heckert traded the Julio Jones pick when the Browns didn't have a real receiver on the roster.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
I just can't grasp the fan disapointment over changing the front office. The Browns have been cellar dwellers for years. Today's a good day.

P. Schrager ‏@PSchrags
Ok, enough on Browns. I'll clean up the drool and get back to work. But I assure you Balt/Cinc/Pitt front offices aren't doing flips today.

Haha so many Browns tweets. I have no idea who PSchrags is, but I pretty much agree with everything he said. I think Norv is being overrated and Lombardi is being overhated by fans.

Happy with Chud, thrilled with Horton, and I really think Banner knows what he's doing. I don't get why so many people are panicking right now. At least wait for the draft to start trashing Lombardi.

Not according to Jim Nance who was on the Fan today. According to Nance, Only Bill Bellicheck is a better evaluator of talent than ML.

I heard him fellating Mike Lombardi on 92.3 and it was amazing.

You would think the guy is Bill Walsh the way the Browns and some of these media types talk about him.

Amazing how the best talent evaluator we could possibly hire according to our owner and team president is a guy who hasn't sniffed an interview for an NFL job for over 5+ years now.

If it weren't for Joe Banner, he would still be at the NFL network right now because there was no interest in him around the league.

Belichek retreads around the league get chance after chance because of high praise from the hoodie, yet Lombardi had been stuck on the scrap heap with no so much as a nibble by anyone despite Bill's glowing praise.

Makes you wonder what everyone else seemed to see that we didn't.

Also worth noting....Nance's girl friend is from Cleveland! That settled it for me.

False. They weren't going to renew his contract. He would have been unemployed.

Love the offseason. Fuck tony grossi. He's a butthurt bitch.
