What are you guys draft wants? To me, if we don't come away with a legit Pass Rushing DE with the #6 pick, I'll be pissed. 2nd or 3rd most important position/ability to have and we don't have it. PASS RUSH. Moore or Jordan are my two targets at this point.

i think i'd prefer werner (if jones and moore are gone) and then milliner if werner is gone as well. i didn't really want t'eo even before the national championship game

edit - i'd be okay with jordan as well

Yeah I'd take Te'o in the 3rd, but I will never draft a MLB in the first round.

I think Werner will be gone by 6.

I'd have my sights on Milliner if he's there. I think he's going to be very good at the next level.

I like Werner as well, esp as an all around DE. But his lack of pure speed and isn't an elite edge pass rusher. Which is why he's not top of my list.

Chip Kelly's staying at Oregon. Doug Marrone's gone to Buffalo. What now?

First of all.. DO NOT reccomend Jon Gruden or Bill Cowher. Would you come to Cleveland if you were a Super Bowl winning coach with a cake job working once or twice a week. Sorry Cleveland fans, the answer is no. Other than that: fair game. As long as you don't seriously reccomend Mike Trestman (CFL, Really?)

My personal choice would be Greg Roman, OC at San Fran. He has worked under Harbaugh since their time together at Stanford. Even if its Harbaugh's offense, tell me Roman hasn't absorbed some of his philosophies.. the Belichik tree has been extremely popular lately, how about we pluck some fruit off the Harbaugh tree while the getting is good. Also, Haslam and Banner have said that the want the GM (..sorry player personnel man) and the HC to be "joined at the hip." Guess what? Dave Caldwell (Player Personnel Director for the Atlanta Falcons) and Greg Roman roomed together at John Carroll University (in University Heights-a suburb of Cleveland). How were these two not the front runners from the beginning? Maybe they were.*Conspiracy Theory: The Browns interest in Kelly and Saban was a Marketing ploy (building popularity for the Browns is clearly up there on Haslam's goals list, i.e. Road Tested on the Travel Channel). Trestman only got an interview so the Browns still appear to be actively searching, while in fact they are just waiting for the Falcons and 49ers to be eliminated from the playoffs to get their guys.

It makes sense doesn't it--CLEconomically Speaking? Interviewing big name guys and CFL coaches keeps you in the news, and in the end you still get your top choices.

Assuming we stay with the 4-3 and stay at 6, I like Werner/Moore at DE or Milliner. If we trade back to try to get a 2nd round pick back I like Montgomery or Warmack. Ansah is an intriguing prospect too, but I didn't see BYU play much this year so I don't have a real strong opinion on him. I also like Tyler Wilson and Cordarrelle Patterson a lot, but I don't think those are realistic options.

I am just going to say it again. Why the fuck hasn't Haslam given Zimmer a call yet? Why hasn't any team given him a call? It makes no sense.

The Browns seem to be leaning pretty heavily toward getting an offensive guy. Kelly, BOB, Marrone, Whisenhunt, Trestman, Arians. The only defensive guys to my knowledge have been Horton (Rooney-rule, probably no real interest) and the rumored Saban interest.

You don't need an offensive minded coach to have a good offense and vice versa.

Does Gruden make that much now? Lol I've heard Gruden before say he puts about 40 hours a week into this job.

I always heard Gruden was the most insane working hours head coach ever....some weeks putting in 120 hours and like you said, over 100 was beyond routine.

He seems happy as hell doing what he does.

Gruden is def happy with his job now, but if he really had the itch to coach he could get a job. The ESPN job isn't going anywhere. He can always take that job when he is done coaching.

Seriously though, Im about done following this until a coach is hired. Cleveland media is a joke running with every single rumor. Saw someone mention Air Force's HC today. SMFH. I have confidence in Haslem getting the job done, in the sense of "making a splash". He wants to change culture and win.

yea, i'd actually prefer the head coach not be involved too heavily with either the offense or the defense. i think zimmer would make a great head coach

It's about time someone did their own research instead of rehashing Tony Grossi's sorry excuse for journalism.
