Milliner. SF "wants and salivating over" the cornerback.

Do you trade down to 31 with the Niners? I'd have to imagine the compensation would actually make Mike Ditka blush. Complete violation to drop from 6 to 31.

BTW...a name that is being thrown around (if they trade down...for the Browns) is Star Lotulelei.

Read somewhere that Tampa's thinking when trading for Revis was that the value in this draft wasn't in the 1st, but in the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

If that's true, then I would gladly trade the 6th for 4 of the 49ers picks in the first 3 rounds

Still pissed we didn't take the offer from the Saints for Ricky Williams.

Sounds like the Clippers logic for the year Kyrie Irving came out. LOL, glad they thought that way.

Yeah like I said, IF that's true I would do it, but I don't think it's true.

I think that trading back to the 10-15 range and getting a 2nd rounder (at least) is my preferred scenario.

Players from 5 down to 55 are pretty much interchangeable in this draft. Doesn't look like any impact studs but a lot of solid guys. And if we could do a deal with SF, grabbing their 1st next year, more ammo should they need to snag a QB in the 1st round.

all depends on what you think a franchise qb is. Id consider a decent consistent starter a franchise QB, which I would imagine is ~half of the league.
Stafford would definitely be a franchise qb to me. Im not sure there are 15 Qbs better than him.

To me there's "franchise" and "elite." There are quite a few franchise guys but only a handful of elite. Romo, Flacco, Matt Ryan, Stafford, etc are "franchise" QB's. Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers, etc are "elite."

My definition is a player that you won't even think about replacing for at a minimum of 4 years.

QBs I don't consider franchise:
Freeman
Ponder
Tannehill (although let's see what he does this year)
Cutler
Bradford (sorry, he's got one more year to prove he's a franchise QB IMO)
Vick
Locker
Palmer
Alex Smith
Weeden
Sanchez

Undecided:
Newton
Schaub
Stafford
Dalton

I think Buffalo made that decision when they paid Kolb the money they did. That said a lot about the QB class.

Saw the Lotulelei talk, mostly tied to a trade of Rubin.

Rubin has 2 yrs left on his deal including this yr. Next year he's scheduled to make around $9 mil def wouldn't discount a DLine at #6.

Where are the Browns at cap wise now?

Long term deals coming up to lock up the core guys?

Honestly I would love to trade rubin and take star. I could see star being a ngata. Or pretty close to it

Last I heard they were about $25 million under.

I just have a bad vibe about this draft. I think it could get ugly, and it could end up biting us in the ***. I just have this feeling that Lombardi is going to prove yet again why we all despise him. Excited for Thursday and nervous at the same time...

Oh yeah. Though I think the 3rd round pick wont be there/we need a safety. I would take Rambo in the 3rd with this scenario.

And I think 2 top CBs in the first 2 rounds is overkill. Rather take Jonathan Cyprien, Warmack, Cooper, hell Floyd and get Taylor in the 2nd. He's just as good IMO.

Two first rounders? I'm not seeing where it says that? I see 1 first rounder and 2 seconds?
