Not to mention the Browns haven't won more than 5 games since 2007 and they still have higher attendance than a team that has made the playoffs 3 out of the 4 years. Keep on failing SE.

but they are going to the game....look at the numbers. I really dont understand why you're trying to argue the other point. It's just wrong.

Sounds like back pedaling to me. Just admit your statement (cincy had a higher attendance) was wrong and get it over with.

5-10 years ago you'd be correct, but the game has changed and top receiving TEs are just as devastating to an offense (or more) as top WRs.
Gronk: 2nd round pick
Davis: 1st round pick
Graham: 3rd round pick
Hernandez: 4th round pick
Gates: undrafted

Maybe COA was wrong in comparing a TE's worth to a FB's, but that doesn't mean that a TE has to be taken early to be good, which jives with my earlier post.

Looking at Davis's numbers, wasn't worth a first round pick. Not by a long shot. Can't think of a TE that is though.

The FB comparison was tongue in cheek.

Oh yeah I know but I had to include that to keep it on track so he wouldn't go back and bring up the FB part of it.

I liken Eifert and his college production to Kyle Rudolph. And Rudolph's been, in my eyes, pretty damn productive for the Vikings given the limitations of Ponder at QB. But Rudolph went in the 2nd round because tight ends aren't worth a 1st round pick. Now, or ever.

I somewhat disagree. I definitely don't want the Browns taking a TE, but if you're a team that had true #1 and #2 receivers, a good pass catching TE could open things up for them even more. This is a different league than it was 5-10 years ago, and the Gronk/Graham type TE's are really valuable. I could see Eifert going from 20-32 in the first round.

I'm not understanding why you keep bringing this up? No one's disagreeing. My point is that those type of players are available in later rounds, and that you don't need to reach for them.

Milliner at 6. Trade to grab Manuel in second. S in third (i.e. Rambo)

If they are trading to grab Manuel in the 2nd, they won't have a third round pick. Glad you are not the GM.

Agreed. And we'd probably get trade raped in the process.

No doubt. Franchise QB? Sure we'll take the 20th pick along with a bunch of back ups and 30 yr old retreads! /Kolkinis and Erica Womangini

Speaking of Mangini: have you, on multiple occasions not just once, listened to his football analysis on ESPN?

No, I do my best to avoid BSPN at all costs, including their website.

Mangini is REAL good as an analyst...not so much as a talent evaluator.

Supposedly that's why he went 6 to midnight over David Fucking Veikune. Veikune came into Berea and knew where the safety was supposed to be on a fucking play. Who GAF? Can the guy play? Turns out he couldn't. I've posted this story many times, but when I was at training Camp in 09 and got to see Veikune first hand many times. I knew from the first day that he was a bum. He was getting ABUSED by UDFAs. Legit looked like a guy who hadn't played football out there.

Hot dang, you guys have been busy on here today! All signs are pointing to the Browns selecting Milliner at 6. Jordan will likely be gone before then, so that won't be an option. As for our offense, I think Gordon proved last season that he can be a #1 WR, so at least the previous regime didn't completely bomb with the supplemental draft pick. I also think Little can be a solid #2, maybe similar to an Anquan Boldin player during his Arizona days (probably to a lesser degree, of course). Throw in Benjamin, and things could open up nicely in the middle of the field for Cameron, or we could play mis-matches against small slot corners. If we can stay healthy, and with the elimination of the Shurminater, I like the potential of our offense.

Yeah that's why I asked you COA.

He's definitely from the Belicheck tree in terms of football genius. I think he would be a great coordinator when his only valuable skillset would be put to use. Terrible HC, terrible talent evaluator, great X's and O's guy
