He will also turn 30 on July 19. Many times cornerbacks start to regress early in their 30’s, even without suffering a major injury.
I think he knows that he's coming off a rough injury and entering his age 30 season. While he's going to want to capitalize as much as possible, I think the Browns could still grab him with a franchise friendly contract. The Dolphins seem to be pursuing him heavily, but we need to make a deal happen. I agree. At this point, I want Warmack at 6, period. I really haven't found any consistent complaints that NFL scouts have about him, and several have compared him to Hall of Famers. The best thing you could do for a second year quarterback is give him a superior offensive line, and I'm sure TRich wouldn't complain at all either. We've also signed a few other CBs this off season. Skrine would not be the #2 CB at this time even without Grimes. I'd bet Kevin Barnes would be the #2 CB right now.
