I would really love to trade down and pick up either a 2nd this year, a first next year or both and take warmack. Use that 2nd rounder on a corner/ safety.

I would do that, I just dont want to go from #6 to #26 again and pick up bums in the process (See Jets trade).

Especially considering the Jets did that for freaking Sanchez. Both parties are retarded.

If Warmack is the target, I doubt he drops much farther than 10-12. Actually, I know it's considered "taboo" but with the new rookie pay scale, I'd be tempted to use #6 on Warmack. I've heard Philly could snag him at #4.

What about Vaccaro with the 1st and an OG like Larry Warford in the second?

We def need a FS and I like Vaccaro. I like other FS options in the 3rd round as well, Rambo, Swearinger, and a few others.

I would have no problem with moving down, now way I move completely out of the first round for a 2nd rounder and picks next year.

to be honest, im tired of "next year" and always trading down. Wouldnt be opposed if it were only a few spots, such as 6 to 10-12. The new regime needs to get good players, and now; or else Shook's quote is spot on.

You trade twice. Go from #6 to #10-12 for a 2nd rounder in 2013, 4th rounder in 2013 and a first in 2014. Then go from #10-12 to completely out for a 2nd rounder in 2013, 3rd rounder in 2013, a 1st in 2014 and a 2nd in 2014. I mean that's a hell of a lot of pieces to bring in for sacrificing 1 pick. In 2014, we'd have 3 first rounders, and 2 2nd rounders; that's 5 impact players in one year. EZ.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to sleeper again.

I like the way you're thinkin'...

Especially in this draft. Second & third rounders will probably turn into gold where the difference between a lot of the mid 1st rounders & 2nd rounders is negligible.

That is using george costanza logic......

The thing ya all are not taking into account is that this franchise has been in the basement for quite awhile. Numerous coaches, GM's, owners and the such. The new guy is going to feel the need to win and win now because of the past.

Teams like NE can get away with trading down and picking up guys because they have other franchise players/coaches that win. That affords them the luxury of doing such things, plus they have track records of getting the right guys and/or having guys succeed because of their system. Whatever the case, they can do things that other places cant.

The browns need to show significant progress and quick and the newbies know it.

Haslam has already said he expects progress but not "13-3." If there was such pressure to "win now" they would've blown all of this $50 million on free agents. Haslam came out yesterday and said they are saving a nice chunk for next years free agency.

And here's sleeper logic..

The new crew has a year before people start blaming the new crew. Use this time to be bad and build the next NFL Dynasty through the draft.

Yeah,,,,,you have a point.

Stockpiling is great, but unless you have the right guys making the picks it doesnt matter.

The joke years ago when the Bengals turned down Ditka's potential trade of his whole allotment of picks for Ricky Williams was because their scouting dept was so bad they didnt know whom they wold draft with those extra picks

With no superstars in this draft, nobody is going to give up a 2nd, 4th, and 1st to move up 5 spots, and they're sure as hell not going to give up a 2nd, 3rd, 1st('14), and 2nd('14) to get a mid-1st pick. Delusional thinking if you truly believe it's possible.

Just using basic draft metrics. The cowboys moved up from #14 to #6 last year and received a first and a second. So yeah, instead of that, swap in a 2nd pick. If the Browns are trading completely out of the 1st, it's not unfathomable to ask for a first, second, and second next year. Grow up!
