Hyperbole is certainly regrettable, but it seems almost necessary in the face of the blind acceptance of what's going on as business as usual. People should be concerned about the IRS scandals, the nSA, AP, the multiple leadership failures at Benghazi, and the complicity of the media in downplaying this. People should be concerned when our MSM sounds more like TASS in the 70's, and the Press secretary does his best impression of Tariq Aziz on a daily basis.

I do not think that I am blindly accepting that the great Barrack Obama can do no wrong. He fucks up regularly. This is a human characteristic that happens to us all that are not Messiahs.

But I am just as critical of the people in this country that would refuse to say that he has even done one thing at least half right in the last 5 years. By that I mean everything that is wrong with the country is not the Presidents fault. It was fucked up long before him, and will be long after he's gone.

That is patently false. There are 12 companies that operate 18 refineries in Canada. There is nothing illegal about refining oil in Canada. Building refineries is an expensive business, and the economics of the situation makes it more profitable to export to existing refineries as there is not enough demand for new refining capacity.

I think that is true, but when it comes to politics and voting habits, the great majority is moronic. People are often one issue voters (and often that issue is not that important in the scheme of things), or they make their minds up listening /watching 30 second sound bites, or TV commercials that spin and skirt the truth or contain information or quotations taken out of context. They are easily vulnerable to slanted media stories/reporting.

The result is that honest, thoughtful, discerning politicians that are willing to consider both sides of an issue and act for the good of the country, get hammered by the those that push the hot buttons and spin the truth.

Unfortunately this is and has been the state of Mericun politics for 2 or 3 decades.
