Kind of off topic but I wonder if people - especially the younger voters - are going to be so turned off to the election by the time it gets here that it'll show in the voting numbers. I guess I don't remember from 2012 but did all of the debates start 14-15 months before the actual election? I use to be genuinely interested in learning as much about these guys as I could, but now I wish they'd all STFU.

In 2012 they had even more debates and they were even crazier with Hermain Cain leading in the polls at one point and promoting his "9-9-9 Tax Plan" that he got from "a guy from Ohio" who got the idea from Sim City.

Peace.

Well, in about a year or so, we'll be able to start the new "Disgusted with (insert name here) administration" thread, regardless of who wins what in the election.

It'd probably be more interesting to determine if anyone out there isn't disgusting in some way. Hillary is a lying c*nt, Bernie has the most over-the-top annoying fanbase (on my FB feed, they've even gotten more annoying than the "right wing idiot brigade" who give their stupid-ass opinions about shit constantly), Trump is a psychotic moron, Carson's claims make me say "DDDeeeeerrrrrrppppppp", Huckabee defines "religious nutjob", Cruz has Tea Party ties (ie: lowest common denominator), and so on. I guess, of serious candidates, Rubio hasn't given me a reason to hate him yet, but with this much time until the election, he will. If not him personally, then supporters of him will get me to the breaking point there.

Yeah, tough to select the "lesser evil" here.

I liked Christie for a time, but that bridge shit ended it for me (as well for a lot of others I assume.)

Pretty solid summary of the election so far.

You mean we will have to abandon the most prolific thread in OC history (started by yours truly) :)

I have always felt you maintained elements of intellect, decency and civility, though not outwardly exhibited.

Not many women on this board, so that thread won't get nearly as long with all the bootlickers defending Hillary. ;)

Socialism has a good gig going - promoting itself as the solution to the problems it creates (aka making everyone poorer).

Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money to spend.

VALUABLE VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENTare being yanked from law enforcement agencies across the country by the Obama administration in the wake of the president’s post-Ferguson order – as sheriffs and lawmakers say losing the equipment could put officers and communities they serve in danger.

Just unbelievable.

We have elected the enemy.

If you spent a few minutes researching beyond Fox news, you'd see that there is no "disarming". There is no reason for police departments to have battlefield weapons and I don't care to live in a 1984 scene like that. Police can still acquire excess military equipment, stuff that is appropriate for their use.

"Obama's EO Simply Bans Law Enforcement Agencies From Acquiring "Prohibited" Military Equipment From Federal Agencies Or Purchasing Them With Federal Funds, And Requires Assurances For Acquiring "Controlled" Equipment Such As Riot Gear. According to Executive Order 13688, local law enforcement can still acquire "controlled" military equipment including: manned aircraft, armored vehicles, tactical vehicles, explosives and pyrotechnics, riot batons, riot helmets, and riot shields. The executive order however does prohibit local law enforcement from acquiring equipment including tracked armored vehicles, weaponized vehicles, firearms and ammunition .50 caliber or higher, and grenade launchers from federal agencies or using federal dollars."

The National Labor Relations Board's ruling last summer that broadened the definition of "joint employer" has the potential to devastate the franchisor/franchisee relationship, writes CKE Restaurants CEO Andrew Puzder. Lawmakers including U.S. Rep. Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., are working on legislation that would nullify the ruling, he writes. The Orange County Register (Santa Ana, Calif.) (free content) (12/3)

The NLRB has never been a friend to business or employment, but under obama they continue to churn out incredibly damaging rulings. Hard to believe anyone would ever invest dime in this country with these radicals running the show.
