And I don't see eye to eye with you on a lot of things, but I do this. Personal responsibility is personal responsibility. It's comical to take a stance along the lines of loudly yelling about gun rights because "blame the criminal, not the tool" when someone starts blowing others away, while at the same time demanding that a drug most states look at possession of as a minor misdemeanor stay illegal because of fears of it being a gateway, aka: "blame the tool".

The sort of hypocrisy that turns a person's stance of being in favor of individual liberty into just being in favor of getting what they personally want and not actually caring about said liberty beyond the tip of their own nose.

Same 'ol trope - deflecting criticism saying "no one else has a better idea", ignoring that he's elected to have THE solution...along with the usual excuses for factors out of his control.

I believe in having the liberties that our Constitution guarantees us, but that doesn't mean I cannot pick and choose what I *think* is the good and the bad under that umbrella. It has nothing to do with hypocrisy, IMO, and doing otherwise is just zealotry. Again, that's just my opinion.

Issue 3
I will be skipping the Issue 3 vote for two reasons. 1.) I'm fairly ambivalent about it and 2.) I don't like how it is currently written. I don't know how anybody who has read it could actually like it; unless you want it so bad that you are ready to disregard the problems with it in order to have it as law (think Obamacare), but that's another topic.

It would also generate expensive litigation over whether or not the State's Casinos were legally allowed to operate since they were granted monopolies by Constitutional Amendment.

Liberty doesn't mean you can do whatever the hell you want, whenever the hell you want; there is some responsibility that goes along with it.

And I'm tired of radicals hijacking the Ohio Constitution, such as the minimum wage amendment. That is complete bullshit.

You are being intellectually dishonest as you know no one is talking about issue 3 but the overall issue of marijuana being illegal. The Libertarian party platform does not support the criminalization of marijuana.

Issue 3 has flaws and a better bill should be presented.

Beyond that, most officials, groups, and organizations in positions of responsibility oppose the Issue and the legalization.

No, you see, the true meaning of unobtrusive government and individual liberty is that what the people want shouldn't matter when "officials, groups and organizations in positions of responsibility" have a different opinion.

I mean, sure, when those "officials, groups and organizations in positions of responsibilty" are left-wing in nature and make comments about, oh, I dunno, guns and shit, his stance on their opinion is completely different (after all, Obama is an official in a position of responsibility, but I don't see Quaker hanging off his every word), but what's a little hypocrisy between friends?
