Very lenient with the definition of "straight up" there.

Thats not a foul on either player. Hibbert is the best big man defender when it comes to going straight up, just like that. But, at the same time, LeBron didnt use the off arm to block Hibberts block attempt. Should have been a no call. LeBron also needs to not act like Mike Davis and run all over the court. Heat were still right there.

This, there is nothing that should have been whistled on the original play. But LeBron needs to learn to keep his cool while they still have a shot. The technical at that point really hurt.

I agree it could've been a no call.

Go back, freeze the replay and draw a line straight up and down. He was simply not "straight up." It was a good defensive play, but that gets called a foul on a nightly basis.

They never are. Straight up is not literally straight up. If Hibbert does that on the ground, its not a foul. The way the NBA has said you can defend inside that arc means its the same principle in the air.

You watch enough basketball to know they are never straight up.

Is that a foul if Hibbert is on the ground and not jumping? Cause it should be the same if he is in the air based on what the NBA has been preaching about the defense inside the arc.

As Chuck said (I think after game 2), Pacers have a chance because they have the 2nd, 3rd and 4th best players in this series (George, Hibbert and West).

Yeah, I can agree it was a neutral call at best. However, Hibbert did go straight up, but his wrists were bent downward which is why Lebron tried to go through him.

The call didn't really matter though. The Pacers have converted way too well in this quarter, from what I've seen.

If your arms aren't straight up and down it's a foul, whether on the ground or not. His arms were angled forward, making it a foul.

See, I agree. I just dont think they are ever "straight up". That was pretty close to straight up in basketball post defense terms.

Indiana pretty much dominated this game from the start. Game 7 will be interesting. Lebron is getting absolutely no help.

put your arms up over your head. Its almost impossible to even get them straight up. Dont use that bullshit line up his spin argument. That isnt what "straight up" is and you know it.

Miami deserves to lose this series. If I'm Lebron I'm getting in Wade and Bosh's ass. Complete no show all series on their part, where is your pride? Indy is a GOOD team but not great, no excuse for them to play that way. If Miami's role players don't make shots they will lose game 7.
