So, you gonna complain when a star gets the foul next time? Its the NBA. Its ALLLL about reputation.

IE, Kobe should have 3 fouls in Q1? No, you laughed about the bad call.

Scott Foster is one the worst refs in the league and the other white guy looks like he is at his first NBA game. But we shouldn't be surprised the whole NBA seasin has been big mistake after another.

Can we go back to the NBA of the 90s? That's a solid foul, not a flagrant. Man, Barkley, Rodman, or the bad boys could never play today.

EXACTLY!!! The refs knew that'd be his third and handed it to Hill instead.

The reason why Hill picked up the foul that sure as hell looked as if it was Kobe's third foul, was because of Kobe's reputation right? Reputation is the why they don't put the stars in early foul trouble.

I said lol, 100% a foul on Kobe.

There isn't one person who thinks that's a flagrant foul. It was a fucking joke.

They can call it a foul if they want to because of his reputation but taking it to the next level and making it a Flagrant is just ridiculous.

Right. I say that isnt a flagrant. But, like the 3rd foul...lol @ the NBA. But it is what it is. You are pissed it was called flagrant, you should be pissed Kobe didnt get a 3rd as well. That or say, reputation kept us in the game, it can hurt us later as well.

Does anyone disagree? lol

Point is, its the NBA. Its built on stars reputation, so getting pissed about this very contradictory.

OK. But you can also look at that Kobe foul and say the ref saw Hill commit the foul. Which OBVIOUSLY he didn't, but it is a possibility.

A flagrant foul and a normal foul are not the same things. There was not one ounce of excessive contact on that foul. Not one. Which is the definition of a flagrant foul. It was a TERRIBLE call and it resulted in 2 T's that should have NEVER been called.

Then you could look at the attest play and say the ref saw his left arm push him after contact.

Kobe would have stayed in the game with 3 fouls, giving someone a flagrant gives the other team a chance at 5 pts in one trip. You better be darn sure as an official when you give a flagrant.

You can say the forearm shiver to the back while he was in the air was flagrant.

That happens all the time on layups in the NBA, it wasn't flagrant by the leagues own definition.

It's a pointless argument. We are arguing about nba refs. Who we all know are told to protect stars. So nobody complains when their star gets a call, but goes crazy when they don't. Because they should, based on reputation. Well if that's the way it works then guys like artest, Steven Jackson and others will have the same things happen to them based on rep.

I guaran-fucking-tee you that if any other player who is considered a "thug" made that play, it wouldn't have been a flagrant.
