I like the move for the Jets actually. They used Brad Smith successfully in the Wildcat to the tune of back to back AFC title game appearances, and now will replace him with Tebow.

I don't see brees leaving he loves the city. It would be nice if he did though. If the browns wouldn't contact him they should be all be fired. I am really surprised that Peyton got a 1 year suspension. Maybe he had more to do with it than people thought?

According to Cromartie, Joe McKnight is the man to run the wildcat.

IMO the wild cat isn't all that great anyway. Sure it might work for a play or two here and there, but in the NFL its nothing special.

No, it's his consequence for ignoring the NFL's warning about it.

It was on ESPN's Sportsnation. There was a survey where you could vote and there was a nationwide map. I can't see the map now.

Sanchez is much better than Tebow, he'll never overtake Mark as the starter. And Kerley and McKnight can run the wildcat which isn't used much anyway. This trade makes no sense and Tannenbaum can fuck off for making it.

Would you rather have a shit sandwich or a turd burger? They probably did it to get Sanchez to play better - he'll do worse and Tebow with be in before the second half of the season.

Lets have a vcash thread. Tebow does not replace Sanchez as starter, unless MS is out with an injury.

I can not imagine Jets fans chanting "Tebow"

Jets fans are assholes. If Sanchez has one bad game they'll be chanting for Tebow.

All the Jets did with this move was invite a massive QB controversy if/when Sanchez starts throwing interceptions.

If a team wanted to bring Tebow in as a back-up it needed to be somewhere like NE/GB where there was no chance of a QB controversy happening.

Sanchez has yet to show he can be consistent enough to avoid the inevitable call for Tebow by the fans at games.

Trading for Tebow without giving him a chance to win a job is just a disaster waiting to happen for a locker room.

Then again, this is the Jets, so the more the merrier as far as the circus element goes. He should fit right in with Rex and the gang.

Forbes already had an article up speculating on the business impact of Tebow to the Jets.

Is NY big enough for Tebowmania and Linsanity?

I have to admit though to being a little bummed Tebow is back to being a back-up. I kind of enjoyed seeing what he was going to do when he started playing last year, as at least it made watching the Broncos must see TV. I was wondering how he would look with an off-season to get better and improve, but now that is kind of out the window.

Frankly Tebow kind of can't catch a break. Last year he, more than any QB in the league, needed the off-season workouts and such to really try and develop his skills. The lock-out killed that. This year, he was coming off an interesting year where it looked like he would get his shot after working with Elway and such in the off-season to really prepare. Peyton Manning comes to town and then he is now a back-up in another city.
