I saw the team scores in today's Dispatch... I was wondering if anyone had any individual results???

Anyone? Anyone? In 1930, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in an
effort to alleviate the effects of the... Anyone? Anyone?... the Great
Depression, passed the... Anyone? Anyone? The tariff bill? The
Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered?... raised
tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue for the federal
government. Did it work? Anyone? Anyone know the effects? It did not
work, and the United States sank deeper into the Great Depression.
Today we have a similar debate over this. Anyone know what this is?
Class? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone seen this before? The Laffer Curve.
Anyone know what this says? It says that at this point on the revenue
curve, you will get exactly the same amount of revenue as at this
point. This is very controversial. Does anyone know what Vice
President Bush called this in 1980? Anyone? Something-d-o-o economics.
"Voodoo" economics.

UA results c & p from website

On Saturday Feb 4th, UA finished 3rd in the historic All North Tournament behind Dublin Jerome and Grove City. The team score was quite close and UA was leading going in to championship round despite giving up valuable team points by having no entry in three weight classes.

Individual Performances, Place, Tournament Record, and Overall Season Records…
  • 106 – Thomas Cooper – 3rd (3-1) (22-16 overall)
  • 113 – Stuart Gieser – DNP (1-4) (1-8 overall)
  • 120 – Andrew Steedman – 2nd (4-1) (18-20 overall)
  • 126 – No entry
  • 132 – Keith Neely – 1st (5-0) (24-13 overall)
  • 138 – Vito DiBenedetto – 2nd (4-1) (33-8)
  • 145 – No entry
  • 152 – Taylor Neely – DNP (3-1) (21-13)
  • 160 – Danny Watson – 3rd (3-1) (16-9)
  • 170 – Skyler Sowry – 3rd (3-1) (29-7)
  • 182 – Nick Pavoni – 3rd (3-2) (18-21)
  • 195 – Jared Drake – 2nd (3-1) (23-11)
  • 195 – Jamie Lowery – 3rd (3-1) (4-1) (non scoring extra)
  • 220 – No entry
  • 285 – Cam Gardner – DNP (0-3) (4-5)
IMO, competition was not on par with past years

I noticed DQ Lowery (195) wrestled as extra. Is this a return from injury or did he lose wrestleoff to Drake?

It a very exclusive private school in the Dayton area.
Kolodzik is the only wrestler in the program taking after his older brother(now at Princeton) who did the same winning States a few yrs ago.

No, cthelites, he is just fine. He was maxed out on points and couldn't wrestle. Instead we spent the day visiting a college that he's very interested in and that's looking at him for wrestling.

Reid is 160. Broke his hand at a tourney about 5-6 weeks ago. Scheduled to be ready for sectionals. UA has several varsity who have extra room so will be in the Jon Post this weekend.

Thanks BooBoo. Its tough to see a kids dedicate themselves and miss time or have season ended do to injury especially seniors since its their last shot. Best of luck to MR. Lowery on his comeback.

Isnt the Jon Post a JV/Freshmen tourney? Why is UA sending their Varsity there?

It is a "JV" tourney, but as the last thing of the year, many teams (not just UA) send the varsity if the kids have points left from injury or eligibility and need the work. Four years ago, two returning DQ's wrestled in the semis (Taylor Smith vs. Brandon Burkett), and last year, I saw legit varsity wrestlers from Olentangy, Watkins Memorial, West South, and many others. It is a better tournament than many "varsity" competitions.
