This is a WCAL + 4? 5? Very solid sectional...i predict upwards of 20-25+ to advance to the State tournament out of this sectional.

Who ya got?

Who wins?

Individual?

Team?

Let's get it started..........Wcal is in the bag....( and the Champ knows who they are).............

edit: if this thread dont get some attention........Beast is retiring. Ridiculous that we cant talk wrestling like the good old days.

285 is gonna be solid again this year. You have Kelbly from Smithville, Srock from Chippewa, and the Orr HWT who is making some noise, add in a decent DAL HWT. From the looks of if the 4th spot will be between the DAL HWT and whomever wants to challenge him. I say Kelbly wins this.

220 looks a little weaker than before. You have Cary from Loudonville and Zimmerly from Norwayne. I cant think of anybody else at the moment, so as far as i'm concerned, we could have a few surprises at who will take the last 2 spots. I say Zimmerly wins it.

Being from one of the none WCAL schools, I will take the bait!!
106 = tscheigg-orrville/ young-northwestern/ ullman-loudonville/ vladika-black river
113 = dubin-mapleton/ hozan-black river/ britton-norwayne/ hall-chippewa
120 = nelson-waynedale/ white-black river/ waddell-tuslaw/ genet-chippewa
126 = perez-tuslaw/ berry-northwestern
132 = grier-norwayne/ wardell-waynedale/ everett-dalton/ buchanan-mapleton
138 = nelson-waynedale/ kolin moore-norwayne/ marthey-tuslaw/ dupont-northwestern
145 = stanley-waynedale/ powell-tuslaw/ burkholder-hillsdale/ martin-smithville
152 = fortune-northwestern/ heldenbrand-hillsdale/ blair-tuslaw/ studer-norwayne
160 = stanley-waynedale/ elliott-tuslaw/ finley-hillsdale/ rohrbaugh-norwayne
170 = beam-waynedale/ white-orrville/ m.hilty-smithville/ meek-northwestern
182 = eberly-hillsdale/ strausbaugh-waynedale/ miller-central catholic/ schaefer-northwestern
195 = weber-loudenville/ eisenhauer-chippewa/ ginerich-waynedale/ mullins-hillsdale
220 = baderscher-hillsdale/ sas-black river/ carey-loudenville/ wiley-smithville
285 = srock-chippewa/ kelby-smithville

Always a few underdog upsets which makes this sectional one of the best and deepest in the state. I will say 15-16 to state.

This sectional also bleeds into one of the toughest/ deepest districts. I do not see that many making it out of Garfield Heights.

you left out Kurt Moore at 145, 2 kids that may factor at 106 in Galehouse (way) and Heldenbrandt(Hill).....I see potentially more than 20....but if people start bu,pimg like im hearing....that number will be less. I have already heard of 1-3 kids dropping into 145....opening 52 up, but having a neg. impact on overall area #'s for 45

Hilty at 195 should make it out, with that said if there is no movement with current wrestlers at districts, Weber is probably the only one that moves on to state in the 195 weight class.

Pretty decent take Hoppy-

other than missing Kurt Moore, looks pretty good. I'll throw in my early 2 cents off your list-

HWT/ Benzo(CCC) & Lehtomaki(ORR) are my picks to fill out the advancing placers.

I think Gregan(NWN) has a pretty good shot to advance at 132 and Jett Heldenbrand(HILLS) will be in the mix at 106

Wohliheter & Farabaugh from Tuslaw should also challenge at 82 & 95.

I'm probably missing a few more. This will be a much easier list to compile once the WCAL is over and everyone figures out what class they're wrestling in postseason.

Not exactly a crowdwed house but if they stay, here's some of the other 126's

Josh Weber(LOUD) 21-7
Troy Marksberry (HILL) 13-11
Tylor Morris (SMV) 24-18

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Spencer White from Black River at 126 for sectionals. Also, Staggs from Waynedale will probably compete here.

Im not so sure....everyone was soooo in the fricken dark at County...who would even want to show up as a spectator at sectionals?

If Northwestern isn't leading, or Waynedale IS....NOONE knows who is....

It's time this sectional gets moved...the homer advantage needs to stop....and I quite frankly dont care who is reading this....as I know the man behind the curtain does in fact see it!!!!

Your act gets OLD!!!!!

If my son wasnt wrestling....I would absolutely attend a different Sectional as a spectator.

Mark my words....prove me wrong...if the Bears are in the lead...the "projector" will break...and the announcer will tell us who's winning basketball games....lol

History repeats itself.

Come on now, don't let the bad taste from county cloud your judgment on Sectionals, other than not getting the brackets posted to baums page
in a timely manner, IF THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN is reading this, POST THE STINKIN BRACKETS!!!!! anyway, sorry for the rant, last year
ticked me off... It is one of the best run Sectionals around, we get in and get out early on Friday night and it runs very smoothly, you don't want
to go back to the Chippewa days, NO they do a great job with Sectionals.
