I am one of the top scoring teams in the league but due to also having the most (by far) points scored against me my record isn't great.

I am currently in the last WC spot and playoffs start next week.

I am done for the week and our first tie breaker is total points scored.

If I win then I am in due to tie breakers (will be 3 teams tied record wise for the last WC spot).

My opponent has one player left going tonight, P. Rivers. In our scoring system Rivers has averaged 19 pts this season. I am up by 18 pts. If I win I am in, if I tie/lose I am out due to record.

I will have to watch the game just hoping Rivers scores 17 or less...piece of crap season pisses me off.

But seriously, I know what you mean. I'm the second highest scorer in one league but right now I'm in the last playoff spot(6th out of 14), and scored the third most points this week so far and am losing to the highest scorer, who also has a a 4-8 record and is one of the lowest scorers. I'm going to propose changing some leagues to having the last playoff spot be the person with the most points not in the top 5, it is more fair IMO.

Terry the best way to reward people for points is to make the rule that each week whoever wins their matchup gets a w and the top half in points scored that week also get a w. So basically each week a team can win 2 games his matchup and being in the top half in points scored. This helps when the second highest scoring team just happened to play the best team.

That would have helped since I was top half in points every week but 1...lol

Oh, and I'm out thanks to Rivers 3 long TD passes...3rd in points in our league and missed the playoffs (we take 6 of 10).

3rd in points and I am currently tied for the worst record...

I just checked our 2009 league page - I was first in point by 150 more than the person who was 2nd in points, I finished with a 7-6 record and did not make the playoffs.

I was pissed.
