A quick observation:
Riley 113 Mt Vernon already made the drop.
I figured it might take a while since he was projected to go 126. I was surprised to here he was cutting down that far but he made it. He did look very small for a 126 at the all Star preview(scratch plus 5) yet he still won.
Spearman another at that weight that some didnt think hed make the cut(I knew he would tho).
McCurdy with a nice win over Milner at 126 and Stope rolling strong at 132.

Cthelites: If memory serves me correctly, he, Riley, was bumped/voted out at a lower weight - either 113 or 120... Maybe both.

Milner to Zanesville from Tri-Valley made me look twice.

OK Cruise, I knew he went 119 last yr and was mentioned in the preseason Cent Oh polls at 126.
Spot on with Milner, I didnt realize that til you said it. With Freshman stud Kowalski coming in going 126, that would have been a nice back to back in the line up. I think Kowalski is going 126 tho so maybe...?

Thats all I could find. That was in the Dispatch. The Olentangy was the only other results posted.
What up with that???
I get tired of seeing all the girls basketball and swimming etc results but hardly ever anything for wrestling.
Do we not get the results to the paper?

Also on that note, there was nothing is the Dispose on tOSUs stunning victory at the Cliff Keen Vegas(baby Vegas!) tourney.
As much as they cover tOSU, youd figure theyd get some pub???

Cthelites: I heard (okay, started) rumors about an all-Central Ohio publication coming in the near future called "Inside the Circle". It may happen, but would be a great deal of work.

I, like you, and assume a host of Central Ohians, think our wrestlers deserve better. Stay tuned.

Maybe we could have those discussions over beers at a favorite watering hole...say Gatsbies? and maybe alternate to my side of town...say Oties? lol!

Off season work is what wins titles. The "good kids" all know that one.

Im sure Mr Waldrop will see his opponent down the road in the future.

Also nice championship Mr Jones. You young man, have worked hard as long as I can remember. Keep it up.

Sidenote Jacob Spearman aka ( THE REAL DEAL ) was tourney MVP. The move up from #103 to heavier weights has seem to of been a problem for guys over the years, but this kid has turned into a BEAST.
