Will it last, who knows. But, they're going to ride the wave.
I'm not arguing that they
shouldn't be winning, on the contrary, there are statistical reasons
why they're winning now as opposed to earlier in the season. Two within the Broncos control that go hand-in-hand (increased time of possession, decreased yards and points allowed per game), and one related but outside of their control (poorer offenses faced).
FYI, in their remaining games, they play teams with an average (current) offense ranking of 14.3 and an average (current) defensive ranking of 23.5. Against teams ranked 14th or higher offensively in terms of yards per game average, the Broncos are 1-4 this year (Win against Oakland, losses to Oakland, San Diego, Green Bay, Detroit). We will see how the season plays out against upper-half offensive teams since they have 3 remaining on their schedule (New England, Buffalo, San Diego). It will test their mettle and we'll see where they end up.
